Hey, weren't you the one who mentioned getting together with Spada for a meet or something? (We were talking about playing through Final Fantasy IX together someday.)

Your less than three is appreciated. <3

Spada lives about 30 minutes south of me. I offered my E12 for a demo since it's easiest to make a decision on gear when you can hear it in person. I guess since we'd be meeting in person for the hand-off that can qualify as a meet. :p Final Fantasy IX, or XI? XI doesn't seem like a multi-player game unless maybe you're playing it simultaneously in a head-to-head race or something. I've been wanting to play more Elder Scrolls Online lately but unfortunately my schedule is preventing me from doing so. I know little of the FF MMOs, why choose XI over XIV?

On a less serious note, it wouldn't be redundant since you can put your custom engraving on it XD. even images~

I said Final Fantasy IX, the PS1 game. It supports two players, unbeknownst to many.

I am left with the aftermath, to which I reply diligently...but I miss out on this crucial period of live activity. As a result, for better or worse, I suspect that much of my efforts are left unnoticed by the ones who don't go back and catch up, diminishing my social currency, if you will. Interacting with and being acknowledged by like-minded individuals holds enormous sentimental value, and so, I am presented with a dilemma, or perhaps, just questions. Unfortunately, I'm too tired to flesh them out. I guess I just want to talk more with you guys, and my schedule doesn't seem to coincide with so many of yours...

I live in topsy-turvy land, and your efforts don't go unnoticed on my end. I'm just too lazy to think of a reply that integrates the replies before my own, so as you can see, I'm never the writer of a super post. Sometimes, my posts are pretty out of context compared to others' simply because I don't bother to read the other posts. Trust me; in my eyes, recently you have more presence than anyone else here.

That being said, within reasonable listening levels resides transients or peaks in the musical information requiring may times the average power level. Here is in part where better electronics will shine, and also where more capable headphone transducers strut their stuff.

For example If the amp runs out of headroom the transient information will not be reproduced accurately per the source, instruments such as horn or piano can sound strident, or dull, basically off of their natural harmonic structure. There are problems in varying levels and frequency bands within all playback system chains and speakers/headphones that cause harmonic information to be altered. Listeners become accustomed to these distortions of sound, so when you hear music without these distortions it may at first sound wrong or unimpressive. However given time whereby you listen to a variety of music you begin to better understand, and going back in time to what you listened to in the past would prove this to be the case.

There is a definite individual learning curve to all of this that spans a lifetime.

Thanks so much for giving your perspective here. I wish there were more opportunities for that. There are plenty of people who have more questions, so hopefully you can stick around, or perhaps use me as your emissary.

I catch a lot of flak for defending the Abyss on this site. A few hours ago, I created a silly meme related to the topic.

That's because I post more on a daily basis than anyone else. XD

(I'm trying to think of your sentiment in a more romantic way, though.)

Oh really? Interesting. Yeah, like many I had no idea it supported two players. Would you be playing a local game or over the net somehow?

It would have to be right next to each other. (Two players can only control characters during battles.)

It was a bit pity that season2 changed almost all CV...

Oh my gawd, I almost cried liatening to these. 11/10, would buy if I had the money.

UERM.jpg

They were warm-sounding to me, with a rolloff on both extremes of the frequency spectrum, but they're SO freaking smooth and textured that they went well with any genre of music I threw at it.
LOL. Love your reaction to it. I still gotta send mine back to UE but feel so lazy for whatever reason.

Edit: Actually if jrkong's assessment of the Rockets are accurate then those could essentially be a mini UERM, that is incredibly well built/has supreme comfort. I hope to every pagan god out there that he's on the money with his early impressions

Or if james444 is on the money with his impressions... wink.gif

What are you gonna do, watch us play?:D

It can take over 100 hours to get everything there is in the game, so I don't know how this will be managed.

So all you need to make the Abyss shine is an amp with lots and lots of power?

Kirito is actually a good player for once, although I can't say the whole "lol I have a lightsaber XD" thing is any good.

Good player? He already was the nipponese ubermensch in the first season.
I really don't like overpowered characters.....

I make a great cheerleader. My mini-shirt and pom poms are amazing motivators; mainly because you'll do anything to avoid seeing them.

You also need a good DAC. Read Cortazar's posts on this page. He used a powerful amp with a lesser DAC and didn't like the Abyss, but then used a better DAC with a built-in preamp (without using the previous amp) and loved them just as much as the SR-009.

lol, I wasn't boasting; just making an observation in response to a comment.
