Guess I have another ear infection or something. Couldn't sleep last night because of that (and the heat). It's like I'm getting one every second summer or something. ;_;

Hopefully I'll be able to get a doctor appointment today and not be in pain tomorrow, during my birthday. :-/

I should probably put some music on my microSD card...

Still loving my DX50 ^o^

Oh I love the sound. Especially with the latest firmware. The sound really got a lot better compared to the older fw versions (never thought I would say such a thing).
If you want a detailed description, read lins review. My impressions are pretty much the same expect the soundstage bit.

Hmmmm the battery has juice for like eight hours when I switch to high gain and 180/240 volume. It's pretty easy to put in a spare battery though.

On the more positive side, emailed Tim Wright (CoLD SToRAGE, Wipeout fans know who he is) and actually got a response. :-)

WipEout HD/Fury & WipEout 2048 are so challenging! Did he say anything interesting?

So I just created a Twitter account so I can get more points for these stupid social media sweepstakes and I'm already scared of it.

I only provided my name and e-mail, that's it. Magically, Twitter knows that I want to follow Light Harmonic, and for some reason it's suggesting I follow my friend's boyfriend's sister. WTF.

Well, I asked him about some DS casual games he made music for (forgot the names), because he said in an interview that because of hardware limitations he got back to trackers to compose the soundtracks for them. So I asked him some details about it because it's rare to find someone using trackers for games these days, unless it's for a retro game and/or he just exports it as audio.

He did it in MODplug Tracker in .xm format, had 300 KB available per song and could use max. 10 channels.

Tip of the iceberg. If it makes you feel any better, virtually everything you submit on the Internet and say/text on a phone is stored in multiple databases, often shared with third parties. There are ways for certain organizations to track everything you do on your computer even if you're not connected to the Internet. Gotta love technology!

This reminds me of something I found out relating to the Mother 3 soundtrack. The game was only released on Game Boy in Japan. When you play the game, the music doesn't sound all that fancy, due to the limitations of the hardware. However, if you extract the audio files, they sound like ten times better!

JRiver's free trial won't even let you use the software at all once it expires. So much for generous...

I'm still curious about what file format you rip CDs to. I know you already know it's a bad idea to rip to anything but lossless, which can always be converted to anything else; but lossy to lossy is a no-no, since it drastically damages the audio quality.

I literally just watched all of them after coming across them on Imgur. "Word Crimes" is pretty good too.

The first time through, I wanted to watch it broadcast order more than anything else. Considering I'm only 8 episodes in, I think I still will. All of the files are named incorrectly apparently though, so I'll have to manually check on them and change accordingly. I think I'll restart tonight to get a proper feel for how they wanted it to be initially introduced.

Oh, how I delight in affecting people's lives in ways that will never matter.

At an old apartment I lived at, the guy living below me would have wild, loud all-night parties. He was later sentenced to a decade in prison for an unrelated offense.

You already know more about cheaper earphones than I do, since I haven't really researched them. The E12 would be a great choice for the future because you can use it with so many headphones and IEMs.

LH Labs is the sister company of Light Harmonic, the latter of which releases ultra-high-end audio equipment. I don't think they have as much experience catering to larger audiences, so this Geek campaign, though successful, seems to be spreading them a little thin. Can't wait to hear the Geek Wave XD 128 DAP!

Take note, Spada. Until you upgrade to high-end IEMs, an extra amp is not necessary.

I'm just a few hours away from you guys. (In an undisclosed location brimming with mystery and wonder.)

Here is a post comparing a high-end IEM to a high-end headphone. The part about the bass is especially intriguing.

Who would have known that this thread was full of coffee connoisseurs...

@Spada05 Ever use a GameShark Pro? I used to create my own exclusive cheat codes with it on PS1.

lol: Even though I make the effort to reply to a ton of posts in one post, I still manage to make twice as many daily posts as anyone else lately.

Also, for some unknown reason, my fingers are going numb.

Such a post. Good grief. Here goes...

Regarding your subliminal control of the conversation, I apparently did the same with coffee. I just wanted caffeine, lol. After submitting the noise complaint, the management responded to me and took care of the issue. I went to bed at like 9:30 last night and slept so peacefully, it was wonderful. And now I'm enjoying my coffee because I enjoy it, not because I need it. YAY! I enjoy being able to talk about my caffeine with other addicts.

I'll be holding off on an extra amp for quite a while, I was mostly curious about the functionality and benefit when driving IEM's. It makes it quite a bit easier for me now, too, as I can just focus on getting a better entry-level IEM sooner. Still not sure how I want to proceed on that front...

Chicago? Kidding, I won't pry.

The only game shark I ever had was for the GameBoy. I don't honestly remember what I even used it for, but I had it.

I think I would as well. I've been using an S4 for quite a while, and had an S3 before that. I am very happy with andriods, but I'd like to have a new model.

True true. I wasn't expecting that though with "Do Not Track" enabled on my browser and not importing contacts from my e-mail manager.

Probably V0 LAME MP3 or 256 kbps AAC.
Most people won't be able to tell the difference.

^ Include are 3 files: 1 original 24/96 recording in FLAC, 1 320 kbps AAC, and 1 V0 MP3
One of the two lossy files was converted from the other

Clear evidence that my Klipsh earbuds need upgrading... All 3 sound identical. Sadface.
