  • I'd like to keep it closer to 3lbs, the lower the better.
  • at least 1080p
  • closer to a 13-inch screen
  • minimum 2 USB ports but 3 would be amazing
  • i5 would be ideal, as i7 would likely get me into more than I'd like to pay territory
  • a keyboard with firm bracing and no mushiness. This one is pretty high up on my list of needs for spending ultrabook money.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Air hasn't gotten the Retina Display treatment...yet.

Woah what the heck? Hall effect keyboards are such a thing? o.0

Once you go Mac, you never go back. I would have gotten the Air 13" if it had an at least 1080p screen.

The name ''hall effect'', i thought is a game lol

Yep, I was about to say "Mass Effect" while browsing through posts to quote, but it's been mentioned already.

By the looks of it, you quoted some stuff but then deleted it which changed the indentation.

NGNL Spoiler-ish through #10 (Click to show)
There is absolutely no way they won't have at least one additional season, based on the current pacing. Their plan is world domination and to challenge god, and yet they're only just beginning to play against the first nation.

I love the show so far, I could certainly do with less ecchi and a bit less moe. The service at times doesn't make sense with the plot, and that's really all that bothers me. I don't mind ecchi and the like, so long as it suits the story. The plot itself I find very enjoyable.

My reaction when 12 episode anime's plot starts to get interesting at the end of the season

I also know this feel...it happens when I'm using my phone's WiFi tethering. The multi-quote button disappears from the bottom right corner.

I'm sure everything that can be said about the show has already been said. It was a fun watch.

Do you think it's worth being in the Top 25 on MAL?

I think MAL's rankings aren't very accurate. I've enjoyed series that were ranked in the hundreds - sometimes even in the thousands - more than the ones ranked <100.

I am finding myself posting quite often from work. It's natural for my line of work to have bits of downtime. I am in front of my computer the entire day, after all. Might as well make use of the free time. 4 PM (My SEE YA LATER! hour) came so quickly today, it was wonderful.

Speaking of work... Mac's tend to make me shudder. I hate having to assist with them. The worst customer I had was absolutely insistent that "You don't install programs on a Mac, that's just now how they work." That is verbatim. I had to respond over the phone without directly insulting her. I'm not a professional wordsmith, that sh*t ain't easy.

I found the NGNL plot interesting throughout, as they at least hinted at the grand scheme several times. After it was all over, and after the plot is RIGHT in front of you, though. Ugh... Give me more!

No, not necessarily. Well wait... MAL isn't the best representation of quality. It's top ratings are based on popularity, and for whatever reason the most popular of (any) media is rarely the best of quality. Read this as: People like crappier crap.

That's not to say I didn't enjoy NGNL, I clearly did (if my earlier ramblings aren't evidence enough). The story was engaging and the animation was stunning. Was it anime of the year? By no means.

I really should not be as salty about NGNLs rank as I am.
You are totally right.
It's just that people who are new to anime might see this list and think that stuff like NGNL is part of the pinnacle of anime.....I don't like that thought.

Thank you for your input.
I really should stop caring about this stupid show.

I've never seen a single scratch on the iPhone 5S's sapphire glass fingerprint sensor. The S5, on the other hand...

Have you heard of Kotetsu no Daibouken? It only got three episodes, then got cancelled. It's a much more extreme case of cutting the story short.

I remember when Shingeki no Kyojin was ranked #9 when only a few episodes were out. I guess MAL ratings are more aligned to a massive generalized Western audience. You'll find that pretty much all the top anime are all shounen action comedies; rarely will you find any ecchi slice of life anywhere near the top 100.

Oh the Koto, that's what it was. I was going to say the Japanese guzheng. XD
I missed Bon Odori in Seattle this year, so I wanted to listen to some nostalgic music. Thanks! : D

Don't know, but it looks interesting so I'm adding it to my queue. Thanks!

No kidding?! I'm up there every other week for work, one of my customers is right off of Reed Hartman. Small world.

Yeah, I'd forget about it. No need stressing over a particular show that many people like. It's a very specific show, there's just no way everyone will care about it.

The phones don't bother me nearly as much as the workstations. Of course I do own an Android, but the iPhone works for many people. I love being able to customize my devices, so the android is a perfect fit.

I've not heard of that anime, and by the looks of it (funny, I'm basing my opinion on MAL. Precisely what I just said was a terrible idea.), I'm not missing anything.

That's kind of to be expected though, right? MAL is an English site, after all. Most westerners grew up with shounen's, so naturally the majority of the population is going to gravitate towards them. MAL is biased accordingly.
