Also began re-watching Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanojo.. I have to say, this is growing to become my all-time favorite. Being a young artist myself, I kinda went through a phase where I grew pessimistic towards being an artist, but seeing this anime truly inspired me to push ahead.. It's a great anime and the characters are funny and likeable. If you haven't seen this one, give it a shot.. Who knows, it might be your cup of tea? :)

The thing I didn't like about Sakurasou, was the abusive MC. He literally fit every single point of an abusive man and dude in a relationship.

Who are the most famous ones you know? Laura Bailey is probably my favorite.

I try not to name drop for the sake of name dropping, but I have never had the chance to meet or work with Laura, but from what I've heard she can be awesome company.

I do know Johnny, and his band. Best memory with them is taking them out for White Castle at 3AM. That was a riot. They had never been before but we're super excited since everyone raved about it. Then they learned that it's a sad and depressing place.

@Music Alchemist A Tenma lover...I like you already!

@SakurasounoPet I absolutely abhor most of the characters in that anime to be honest...

Hee hee! I freaking love Tenma to death and couldn't resist. ^_^

When I realized that the English voice actors for Tenma and Yakumo sang in the English dub of the second ED of School Rumble: 2nd Semester (shared here), I had to search for the audio recording itself. It doesn't look like it's been officially released, unlike the original Japanese version. It's a little ridiculous that FUNimation re-rated the second season from TV-PG to TV-MA.

Overall, I think I enjoy ultra-violent and ultra-adorable anime equally.

I wish I had time to participate in this thread more often. It's just so broad and would take weeks/months to read through! ...Not to mention finding topics I'm especially interested in and keeping up. (That includes digging up replies for which I'm not quoted or tagged.) I would feel like I'm being rude if I just posted my random thoughts concerning all things Asian without regard to the current discussion.

I also saw that you are a fellow composer. I've composed probably thousands of songs in just about every style; none are complete, and few are recorded in any form as of yet. (More backstory in my sig link.)

Hey Panda, I grew up in the mountains of western Virginia! (Also lived near the coast for a few years.)

Johnny Yong Bosch...that name sounded familiar, so I looked it up. No wonder. He's Vash The Stampede in Trigun and Kiba in Wolf's Rain!

Only difference on my end is that some of the mods that worked on 4.4.2 no longer work on 4.4.4.

Seriously, it is hilarious how bad the American side of it is compared to the Canadian side. Had no internet or service at all there.

So here I am, reading all your posts you left me (333 to be exact) and downloading ALL the anime and reading what you thought of streaming anime

DOWNLOAD....ALLLLLLLLL THE ANIME

Nice! Vacations without cell service are the best :D

So far I have mixed thoughts about Negima!
I thought it would be more SoL, but it also kinda turned into a battle/adventure shounen manga at certain points. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I especially disliked the long winded battles on the Kyoto trip. They were boring as hell, and I frankly have no interest in battles like that.
Although I have to admit that the art of the battle scenes is rather good.

The parts which are more SoL like, in particular Negima's (romantic) relationships with his students are pretty funny to read and don't fail to keep me entertained.

I'm suspecting more boring battle parts to come in the future, which I really think is too bad. But it can't be helped.\

Today's lunch:

Sheppard's pie.

It was average. I've eaten better, especially if you're including the Greek dish mousaka.

I've also uploaded pictures of the Niagara falls at night, which you can view here

Quotted Rikkuns post from 2 years ago

He went to the Canadian Niagara Falls pretty much this time around....two years ago.

And we both got on the stupid boat ride too!....its just...so weird and funny!

Wow, I'd totally forgotten about the fact Rikkun went to the US. Hard to believe it was 2 years ago...

Thanks for the heads up! Not sure what to download other than H though, and I don't know what to download of that either...

Sora no otoshimono was great!  I was randomly watching the first episode last night and found a Jojo reference too...

Nice show, and even more so the VA for naru. I kept wondering why I liked her voice, and BOOM, realized they - for once- used a legit child VA.

Just like how Yuzuyu in Aischiteruze Baby excelled, Naru in this one is as well.....for using a VA that fit the age.

Good show though, and as some said, it is one of the few shows with prominent child actors that isn't glamorized.

I am liking this show quite a lot!

Yeah, it was a minor update for Android Wear I believe

Whoa, that's awesome! HLP is one of the few shows where I watched and liked the English dub!

A bit on the rough side, but hardly abusive IMO. Not to mention he's at least a little more honest than the goody-goody oblivious blind MCs we get these days.

Gurls und Panzer OVA was fun, them tiny tanks was ridiculously funny. Now for Hanayamata EP2 and Blade Dance, which should be your usual harem anime, except with spirits for the compulsory fantasy factor instead of the Dragons of last season.

Really loving Aldnoah's OST, even though the story is still pretty subpar, even for a mech anime.

The ANN preview guide is totally fine :|

LOL

I honestly thought the main protagonist was the one who's mentally disabled.
Seems like there's a constant breed of dense main characters in harems ~_~

I have yet to come across one who is not a total idiot.

Oh the joy's of bureaucracy!
Finally got my official acceptance letter for Kyoto University, of course with some additional forms to keep me busy. I have spent now an estimated 20 hours filling in forms, so far. Today I could add another 3 hours of form-filling joy.

Also, the rent for most of the dormitories in Kyoto is super cheap. About 12,000 yen for an 18m^2 room.

The only time it sucked was in the hotel. tongue.gif

And as far as the view is concerned, the American side sucks butt compared to the Canadian side. Oh man is the Canadian side gorgeous. Sadly there's not much to do in the town. There was a ton more to do in Toronto.

Well, I wouldn't know about internet, lol. I liked walking around in the Canadian side. It's absolutely hilarious how cheesy the entire town is.

I almost exclusively get vacations without cell service. One of the disadvantages of living in a small country. If I go on vacation there's pretty much no choice but to leave the country, and hence mobile internet access.

Feels much longer than 2 years. I was just fresh outta high school back then. Right now I'm already in my senior year in uni.

A cat cafe. Holy crap! For me, that's heaven and a half!

EDIT: I've watched sakurasou too. It's probably one of the better harem animes in that many of the typical tropes used in harem anime are deconstructed and/or averted. The moronic MC trope is still alive, kicking and played straight as a ruler though. Also, the MC is rather abusive at times...

Filling out forms is the essence of super happy fun times.

That is indeed super cheap!

But don't you have your own nekos?

Abusing a mentally disabled girl is something no one should do. Not even dense harem MCs.
