I don't know, the Clannad Movie was pretty bad...

Brynhildr had a nice cast and story to work with, but it had inconsistent pacing, unnecessary censoring and inappropriately prioritized the importance of the characters. If it was 24 episodes long and polished up a bit, it could have done much better. 7/10 from me.

Yeah most of the characters I know of have light brown jackets, or the typical darker ones.

I think the characters in Brynhildr are absolutely awful and the story in and of itself conceptually is actually not too...bad or at least a tad interesting. But it is filled with loads of deus ex machina and plot conveniences that it makes it insufferable. The characters are just cut and dry copy pastes that carry a super power on with them. They aren't even enjoyable, which can cover up character faults for me. The animation is meh, and I won't even discount it for censoring as its a modern problem in anime that is usually solved in dvd's. I've just never seened all these things combined and thrown at me so hard. Maybe it's because I usually drop these animes before they can shoot themselves this badly in the foot but christ. The pacing I found wasn't actually too awful because the plot lacked much real substance anyway. Mostly just monster of the week stuff that eventually climaxed and oh god that ending...I thought there was way too much plot convenience to begin with but then the whole ending just showed me that there is never enough for a bad anime. It was insufferable.

I agree that the ending was completely out of whack.

This is supposedly what happened: (Click to show)

Hatsuna regenerated, hung up Kana, then Hatsuna goes to heal Kazumi and Kana saves Ryouta and Neko.

I'm ALIVE! Everyone! Went on a weeks vacation with no internet. Went to Niagara Falls.

Seriously, it is hilarious how bad the American side of it is compared to the Canadian side. Had no internet or service at all there.

So here I am, reading all your posts you left me (333 to be exact) and downloading ALL the anime and reading what you thought of streaming anime

DOWNLOAD....ALLLLLLLLL THE ANIME

I'll just skip the part where I gush about how awesome Psycho-Pass is and just tell you that the few new bits tied in very well.

Not sure if I'm gonna rewatch it....

Better than the first one but still not as good as the TV series.
The ending was nice though. A bit anticlimactic but still nice.

Yeah, second movie was nowhere near as good

Yeah, I read that a LONG time ago, and was dissapointed to read that as well. It was hugely popular outside of Japan, but failed inside of Japan. And as we all know, only Japan matters to the anime market.

Not really for most people. As the mainstream viewer, I recognize and note that most popular anime reviews out there fit my tastes near exact.

ANN preview guide that they put up every season is close to pretty much everything I can every say or note, and their general reviews are close to mine as well. THEM 4.0 and Nihon reviews are also very close to my feelings.

I'm a mainstream viewer so it works well for me, but I recognize that it doesn't for others.

I was in Niagara on the Canada side just a couple months ago. I have T-Mobile so I was on Rodgers network and it was awesome. The issue that I had was in the hotel. The hotel was high enough to somehow connect to the 4G network in New York, but only just. So my phone kept defaulting to the US network in the hotel room and Rodgers everywhere else. The only time it sucked was in the hotel. :p

And as far as the view is concerned, the American side sucks butt compared to the Canadian side. Oh man is the Canadian side gorgeous. Sadly there's not much to do in the town. There was a ton more to do in Toronto.

Seriously, the US side was laughable at best. Everywhere right before the main Niagara Falls side on the US was ghetto and suburbs. But within 2-3 blocks of the falls was the only place that was...'city' like and built. Despite that, there was barely anything on the USA side. A few laughable and bare parks and plaques, and badly laid out bike and trail paths and thats it.

I drove for the trip.

I drove a combined 800 miles in 5 days and got back at about 10pm after a whole day of driving.

I'm tired as hell. Couldn't quote every small thing.

So far I have mixed thoughts about Negima!
I thought it would be more SoL, but it also kinda turned into a battle/adventure shounen manga at certain points. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I especially disliked the long winded battles on the Kyoto trip. They were boring as hell, and I frankly have no interest in battles like that.
Although I have to admit that the art of the battle scenes is rather good.

The parts which are more SoL like, in particular Negima's (romantic) relationships with his students are pretty funny to read and don't fail to keep me entertained.

I'm suspecting more boring battle parts to come in the future, which I really think is too bad. But it can't be helped.\

Today's lunch:

Sheppard's pie.

It was average. I've eaten better, especially if you're including the Greek dish mousaka.

I've also uploaded pictures of the Niagara falls at night, which you can view here

Quotted Rikkuns post from 2 years ago

He went to the Canadian Niagara Falls pretty much this time around....two years ago.

And we both got on the stupid boat ride too!....its just...so weird and funny!
