Indeed. They even took the time to draw the outline of her lady parts. Sometimes too much detail is a bad thing.

So I watched all of SAO to today's episode.
The first arc was all over the place, it's like a horribly failed version of Log Horizon made by noobs. Namely every single raid fights they tried to do. For example, the concept of "tank n spank" a basic strategy was something they had to figure out at level 75, the skull rapper (damn you autocorrect) reaper. Which by the way had no adds, poop puddles, enrage or anything of the sort. A single frontal melee attack, and a tail AoE. Knock downs may have been a problem but in a circular environment good kiting would've fixed it. A classical example of tank n spank, and guess what? An immortal tank had to carry the whole team.

The fairy arc was done much better, with any attempt at realistic MMORPG settings thrown out the window, and a 180 degree switch to a mostly fantasy setting. As a fantasy setting anime, SAO don't exactly excel, but at least delivers a 6/10 experience. Although I for one do not care for fake imoutos.
As for the phantom bullet arc, this:

I think early episodes of Captain Earth were somewhat lame, but its getting interesting as the story progressing to me.

It's missing the 'の' though.

Erm, I think 遥か彼方 is a correct form.

Also, should use な or なる instead of の with 遥か...

Well, in the original SAO there were many limitations. Like all players were melee, no spells, no one-click potions etc. And that they were facing that boss for the first time without prior information, so I think that fight was ok.

And I think Log Horizon is completely different kind of thing from SAO, hmm well...

Well my personal problem with that fight is that the ones who are meant to be tanks, Heathcliff and who ever else had shields, didn't step up immediately and draw aggro from the boss, an almost universal tactic .

After the tanks drew the aggro from the boss, DPS types will typically stay out of the tank's way and hit the boss from behind. A few deathes from the tail AoE would've made sense, but 14 deaths in total is a ridiculous number, especially after finding out that the tail has a 1 hit kill mechanic.

As for the comparison to Log Horizon, I was referring to the general MMORPG style setting, with limitations and rules you'd expect from an MMORPG. SAO didn't have any of that. The loot rules were especially unbalanced, with a last hit = loot system, stealing monsters becomes a serious problem, while tanks who focus on defense and drawing aggro will have have a lesser rate of drops. Plus the automatic balance regulation system, while a good idea in itself, does nothing to protect balance, and in fact favors players who are already stronger than others. As for potions, I believe crystals are usable in combat, as seen when Asuna used a healing crystal on Kirito was being PvP'd, and we see that in the first fight, Kirito grabbed a potion for an injured player.

Curious, what MMOs do you (or have) played?

Reason why I use my laptop in bed is because I won't be needing a "bed time", I work my mind until it eventually gives out and sleeps.

And when I wake up, I could continue working right away. This way I wouldn't have a period of time where my mind has nothing to do.

Been living like this for longer than I could remember now, not sure if it's a side effect but it seems that I never have dreams.

A few, although the one I spent the most time with would be SWTOR. Usually a healer.

I remember Healthcliff was tanking...? Not sure how much useful shields can be with other players though, as only Healthcliff had that unique skill set.

Well, I think it was ok as everyone were melee.
Actually I'm not sure if there was any 1-hit-kill mechanism with that boss, my memory is that the two reapers at front had highest damage, so Kirito and Healthcliff were tanking at front..

I think crystals were not usable in that room...

I read the novel before watching the anime though...

The first shot you see of her is her face.
The second? Her lady parts.

I guess that's one (extreme) way to deal with it.
But there have to be better ones, don't you think?
