Wow. First episode of Tokyo Ghoul was... extremely powerful.

For a first episode, it gives an extremely strong impression. Its animation is excellent and really gives a sense of confusion, angst and fear as well as disgust to the viewer. This is certainly an extremely dark anime that I will probably enjoy very much.

Don't get fooled by first episodes!

My biggest fear is that Tokyo Ghoul is trying to pull a SAW on us....

"Oh look how disgusting and gory our show is! You know you love it! Who cares about a story and good characters when you can have flashy animations and lots of splatter ****!"

That's very probable and I don't want it to be like SAW (even if the first SAW was the best and had decent plot and acting) but even so I think it has good premise because it's so well directed and has very good cinematography and animation. It has a very nice impact. The plot seems to be interesting as well. I just hope that there will be some character evolution. I'm curious to see how the protagonist will evolve in being half ghoul half human and how will he keeps his sanity.

Saw the first episode of Argevollen.

It went over my head. What was that all about again?

Show is mostly about humanity and ghouls. Somewhere along the way you start to question who are the real monsters etc etc. But I do agree, very powerful start.

GlassLip: WTF did I just watch. Didn't understand most of what was going on half the time. 3/10. only coz I liked the David reference.

Googling "How to write pop" got me this:

That was brilliant! Now any 13 year old can become the next Justin Bieber with that video tutorial.

Sweet, got the new case last night! It's not much bigger than the 900, but the tapered front on the 900 makes it feel smaller.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to assemble the new rig yet because atom was over playing possibly the greatest Kinect Game Ever: http://youtu.be/V9NiJ3aus5c

Glasslip.....hmmmmm.....

I do enjoy shows where nothing is happening (Non Non Biyouri, Hanasuka Iroha etc) but this was almost too much nothing.
I really like the OST and the nano.RIPE ED is a big plus....but besides that?

Tokyo Ghoul......also meh.

I hope they came up with a good overarching storyline
Great ED.
