I think it's about time I give credit where it's due.
Thank you @EveTan and @vantt1 for suggesting songs that will last me a long while. Just 8 songs is quite a big upgrade for me (I'm a very picky person). @bowei006, @Exesteils, @Tom Yum Goong, @BucketInABucket I listened to your suggestions. However after replaying the songs over and over, I think I might have deleted them from loss of interest to keep them in my playlist >.<

As for your rewards, you can see what I've added to my list and what my current playlist is.

Edit 2: Just saying I might have downloaded over 50gb of songs over the past week >.<

I finally filled up my 80GB iPod Classic with music so I've been forced to transcode to AAC 256 now D:

And yes, you get all the subtle sensual moments without all the "oh I'm so in love, how can I get my love interest to like me blablablabla". Totally not annoying "romance" ♥
Okay, something like this might happen to one of the characters later in the anime, but it's also handled super well and mature.

I'm eager to hear your opinion on the end of the show ;)

Guten Tag!

I love my speakers. Don't feel any urge to upgrade them.
Having the bigger version with the 180mm woofer and the 25mm tweeter would be pretty cool though....

Oh and I really don't think I need the subwoofer since the bass on these is already super great.

Yeah, so far, It's ok. Decent show that is keeping my attention.

The HQ animations and Chitanda's casual moments are keeping me interested.

Whenever someone asks me where I'm from, I say I'm a Hong Konger. If they ask "That's in China, right?" I just say yes. Ethnically, I am Chinese, but when given the choice, I'd rather identify myself as a "Hong Konger" than "Chinese". Sovereignty vs. an individual's thoughts. It's too much effort to explain it every time.

But, if someone asks my nationality, I'd say I'm Australian. Not the "G'day, mate" or "Let's put another shrimp on the barbie" type, just in terms of locality and according to what my passport says.

Racially, you are Chinese, Ethnically, you are a Hong Konger

You mixed the two up

Yeah I don't really say Chinese unless I don't want to confuse people. It's part of some silly nationalistic pride thingie

also finally found this thread lol

Race=Chinese still

Also, I think it's not "nationalistic pride" when identifying as a Hong Konger, but more "nationalistic shame" when identifying as being Chinese. I don't know how else to say it, so sorry if this sounded offensive in any way to any one here.

Yep, we are aware of how amazing this thread is on Head-Fi and how much e-pen the all glorious panda gets

Agreed.

I feel like part of the reason is that Mushishi is set up to be a story within a story. Each episode is a different story which means each episode doesn't rely on the previous one to it. If you have the entire series as a whole story, you have to try to drag that awesomeness on for a long time which is extremely difficult (how monogatari does it I have no idea. Might be the confusion and constant jumping of viewpoints that creates a similar effect). Each story being so short (20 min vs the whole series) allows for constant awesomeness without getting bored of it or finding it to get old (like in SZS or Mushishi).

Aimer - Live at Anywhere (Click to show)

I liked Aimer - StarRingChild, very good find and good work on finding a song that just fits nicely in my playlist.  This one will be updated immediately once I finish the tags.

Not so much for Aimer - Live At Anywhere.  I love the vocals, but I'm a bit picky on the type of microphone they use for blues. It sounds to me she's using a large diaphragm microphone for vocals in the studio recordings. I prefer small diaphragm microphones for blues like Sutani Naoko's - Powder Snow (Hikigatari). Though small diaphragm microphones bring more sibilance, it also brings more detail like spit, voice strain and broader dynamics. I want their voice as if it was through my own. I'm not a big fan on pianos, I'm more a guitar person and wind instrument listener (using Sutani Naoko's - Powder Snow (Hikigatari) as an example again). I've played the flute so it's easy for me to hear a button press, how hard a person blows a flute, how close their mouth is to the mouthpiece that causes certain resonance and etc.
I've seen and strummed a guitar (haha yes I can't play the guitar) so I love hearing every string pluck, fingers sliding across the neck, a light strum vs heavy strum and the warmth of a clean recording.
Unfortunately I can't get an emotional grip on pianos, the attacks on the piano just aren't thin enough like guitar picks on a string.

Mmmm I'm uh, I've heard that song once in a while. Not a big fan of his voice. I prefer to have my male vocals to be low and go rock/metal, or go high and give it their all. Too soft for me >.<

No problem! I went through many samples of trying to compare FLAC and highest AAC quality. If anything FLAC sounds minuscule tads warmer and natural through my odac (might be a placebo?), but not even close to justifiable to having a song that's 40mb each.

I uhhh ahhh. I need a song that has elements that stands out, I'm just going to be complete honest and say that some of them didn't stand out to me. Even if they did they didn't stay with me too long :(
I'll get more specific, I like songs that have a dynamic range (dark blacks and bright whites) that embeds itself nicely into the rest of the song. (like I mentioned before).
