So I watched about 8 episodes of SAO.
The first three episodes actually felt like a MMO, although Kirito stood out as that one DPS who act like a 12 year old. In no MMO will the DPS be able to tank a boss in burn phase, and what's with that other nub that charged ahead for the gear? Are Japanese MMO players all terrible players or something? Later Kirito is revealed as an ultra scrublord who can only clear things by being ridiculously over geared and over leveled, and yet despite all the advantages he had, he failed to keep a group of players he's powerleveling from wiping. Later on we see Kirito attempting acquire several females of criminally young age for his MC mandatory harem, including another incompetent DPS that uses her healer as a meatshield, a crafter that doesn't know about endgame gearing and more.
And to top it all off, our genius detective attempted to solve a murder mystery in the least efficient way possible, when he could've just checked his friends list.
Needless to say I dropped it so hard I went back in time and created Skrillex.
You did the right thing.
Pulling out of this mess before the second half is highly advisable.
