Death note

FMAB

AOT

D-Gray man

Soul Eater

Fairy Tail

Samurai Champloo

currently half way through bleach (with some fairy tail being that the new season is here!)

any help would be greatly appreciated because i know very well that there are 1000's of anime out there and i would rather not skim through all of them

I would not recommend NGE but each person has their own tastes. The series is quite thick and doesn't really fall under constant action. There is a lot of action, but its rather secondary to psychological themes and what not.

Try

Trigun

Sword Art Online (like he said)

Kill La Kill

Cowboy Bebop

Claymore

Code Geass

Macross Frontier

These are all industry favs

And of course. Try out an episode or two of One Piece, Gintama, Bleach, and Naruto. Not all of us like the non-uber Mainstream anime but many do like it.

Gintama is my fav out of all those listed in the mainstream ones. Funny as heck, but when it comes to serious fight, boy do they deliver.

THANKS MAN!, im 180 episodes into bleach so i will continue to do "the grind" , then i will start looking at more shorter anime, that is the second code geass recommendation ive had so ill be definitely checking that out once i finish bleach off (or in between when i get bored) and as for NGE, i can take a bit of low action as long as its still entertaining, but it being a "thick" series would make it lower on my anime priority list

ill definitely check out gintama as i love comedic anime (fairy tail is just fantastic that way) and good fight scenes are a nice bonus

...It's quite thick, but hey, don't let me discourage you. Some learn to love it etc etc

I personally couldn't.....like at all.

The movies are sooo sooo much better though. They are actually some of the best movies I've seen in anime (the third movie was quite meh, but it had to be I guess). I would recommend holding off on NGE for a bit. Wait until the 4th movie comes out so you can marathon it.

But yeah, Movie 1 and Movie 2 (especially movie 2) are amonst the best I've seen

Considering Death Note, AOT on your list. Code Geass is quite highly recommended :)

If you like ecchi and fan service. Drop High School of the Dead on your list as well

i shall!, next anime i will watch will be code geass, ive only heard good things about HSOTD so thats also high on my list

Hachikuji cosplayer not loli enough. :/

Clearly she's the grown up Mayoi from the other dimension. Or at least somewhere in that dimension before she's fully matured. :P

Another Chobits fan deep down? I see :D

Yeah Euphoric Field is like...HER ANI-SONG..

Yup! Lol. I was pretty impressed with their outfits so I took pictures of them.

Meh, I didn't like much of her music. Btw, how's the valvrave ending? I bought it and had it signed.

I'm not a big fan of her music honestly. The range of notes she uses in her songs is very limited and her songs thus get really monotonous after a while (i.e. during the concert when she performed 4-5 songs like that). The instrumental sections are great on the other hand.

^ What a pleasant surprise to have at the end of the day: decent takoyaki

I thought you didn't like U:Don's Takoyaki? XD

So jelly of ELISA Concert.

I don't know why but I just find cosplaying somewhat hard to swallow.

I get a bit *cringe* every time I see it.

It's a nukige though, plot is meh.

LOL, quit imagining things borisu!

That's a project diva PS3 skin they released with the first game. And a Hori joystick from the 2nd game. They had the 2nd game to play there and it was pretty sweet.

Nahhh, it's part of Japanese culture too, right? XD

I didn't even like most of her songs. :P

You just not into 3D girls as much as me. Some of those girls were pretty damn hawt, even if they didn't throw very much time/effort/money into cosplays.

Haha, you think I was gonna play that game for the plot? ;)
