If I'd have put my mind to it three months earlier than I have, then would have been able to graduate at the end of this academic year -- that would mean completing a 3 year program in 2 years. A program that is already more difficult than a regular major. That's an odd thought.
At the end of the year I'll have about 95% of the credits needed to graduate for my program. Just need to write my thesis and I'm done.
Why am I doing this?
What are you looking to get out of University? What do you want to do in the future?
This can have a big impact on what you do with your university life.
For many people, spending less time on studies could and would actually be better.
Yes, I could give myself an uber workload. But I don't want to be a researcher, grad student etc. I want to either work at a major company, or start my own company.
That's why I'm doing almost everything else right now at University.
I'm currently working an internship, applying for one for the summer. I'm also about to become the represenative for about 10,000 students on campus to the studen council (which I am also in). Past that, I am also an executive member of a business club and am an executive member of my residential student organization. Also in animation society, another business club as a regular member and gonna be donig more next semester.
As an engineer for the future. Companies here could have two schiits that you have a 4.0 GPA. It's about selling yourself with internships, experience, and dedication to other talents and work.
