I once said how my "goal", so to speak, in manga /anime now is all about over the top. There's the expected "silly" over the top ness like say KILL LA KILL or JJBA, and there's the "not silly" over the top ness like say anything Junji Ito, Franken Fran, and possibly Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro.

But on top of both of those kinds, there's just the "brilliant" flavour. That's where Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei sits. Behind the facade of episodic dark humour with in-universe stereotypical characters, there's mind****s that mind**** a mind**** story, of how maybe the mangaka already planned the ending but make **** up as he go along, for the comedy is based on real life events.

An anime adaptation where the studio might have already know how it truly starts and ends, adapt as much as possible but dropping foreshadowing in almost everything related with the anime. Yes, including the character songs, the OST albums, even the promotional albums are a part of the web of mind****s.

Sleight of hands on top of sleight of hands. Double meanings inside double meanings.

Also, in light of the full revelation, this song took a whole different context now:

I'm almost done with season two. Next up is season three and the end of the manga.

And I'll be honest, I'm interested in this a bit more than Sony for some reason.
To be fair, that is just all form and no new functionality. What is wrong with using the screen.

That cover opened a whole can of worms on security without bringing anything new to the table. Pretty gimmicky.

My Nokia phone has this way earlier than most that does this. It makes sense that nokia brought it back with Nokia Glance on WP. As long as I can control what data gets shown, I don't mind it being on all the time. Of course, it helps that my 808pv has amoled.

That's one of my mistakes back then that I am always depressed/troubled.

Yeah I guess so. I'm grateful I'm not starving or dieing of dirty water.

Did you not graduate from a college yourself as an international transfer?

ImoCho final episode:
Suddenly this anime has plot. Who woulda thunk?
Then again, this ended in the most outrageous way imaginable... is that really a sequel hook? I don't think even the producers would dare dream of plotting a sequel to this???

Love Live
Thought I'd given up on expecting plot out of moe shows.... until this came up. This is making me want to watch it all in one sitting... there goes my sleep L3000.gif

In other news, doing anime animation as 3D animation is still 10 years too early -_- (and why are said crappy 3D animations done at half the frame rate? Computing power is cheap -_-)

3DPD applies to 3D animation as well, IMO.

Alright finished another anime (entire series this time)..... but this one is quite well known so I will keep it short. *edit* nvm it's still kinda long.

This time I watched all three seasons of To Love Ru. Why would I watch these you might ask? Well I had skipped them when they aired because the first 4 episodes of season one weren't very interesting to me; but a friend of mine that likes the manga told me to watch them... and to let him know if he should too...... well that was a bad idea, I'm not running a charity here! That's about 16 hours of content that I watched the past ~3 weeks and it wasn't all that great.

This is a by-the-numbers harem anime. That can be ok, I don't mind ecchi harem shows, but I just did not like any of the characters much. I didn't hate anyone, they were all just "meh" for me. I would recommend this one to anyone that liked Sora no Otoshimono however, they felt quite similar in their style and comedy routines. One bonus point I will give is that they kept adding characters, but handled the "character-overload" by making Darkness almost a side-story. This showed that they at least realized they had too many charaters/love interests to allot screen time to (I'm looking at you IS:2). Of course, this creates another problem. If you are on #teamLala let's say.... well you barely get anything out of Darkness. This kind of proves to me that there is no real cure for CO other than practising restraint and NOT ADDING SO DAMN MANY CHARACTERS.

I watched the Blu Ray release of these, and I did find it interesting when my friend told me the reason that there was a huge jump in the ammount of nudity (there's plenty in this series) was due to the manga moving from a Shounen Jump type publication, to one aimed towards older audiences. After Asobi ni Ikuyo, I think I will take a break from the ecchi harems, even I have my limits.

To Love Ru: Trouble, Motto, Darkness

6/10

Gin no Saji ended. In a very ambiguous way, but still left me feeling good about it. Season 3 might be far away but this was a series I can truly say I enjoyed.

Nice. I think the 6/10 is pretty justified though, it was a cesspool for those in Japan. It's one of the hottest selling manga's of its genre at the time of serialization though.

Last ep of Chu2 is out and last ep of Golden Time soon

I feel that this season of Chu2 only came out due to the uber success of season 1. This one was like 80% doing cute things with the rest 20% being it trying to do serious plot every episode except that most of that seriousnes did nothing and had nothing serious to it.

Can't wait for Golden Time,

Finished Mikakunin de Shinkoukei last night. I don't know, this one felt empty to me. The only ones with personality were Benio, Mashiro, and Shirayuki (Mashiro's mom).... but the main two characters? They had no personality at all (ok I get that Hakuya was supposed to be like that), but if that's the case, then Kobeni needed to pick up the slack and she didn't at all. I also found Mashiro's VA to be annoying.

6/10 for the effort. Might revise to a 5.

Thanks for confirming my prejudices against this show. One stupidly long show I don't have to watch.

The last Chuunibyou2 episode was sweet :3
The ending was lame though. At least in my opinion. Some people might prefer it that way.

Yeah like Bowei already said, this season was kind of unnecessary. 3/4 of it was just filler-ish. The bits of story here and there were alright and well executed.
I would only recommend this season to people who really liked the first one.

Love Live 12 Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Thought the plot had totally lost it when the MC said she'd drop out. Glad to see that it's just the MC who'd lost it and I'm not the only one who wanted to slap some sense into her :3
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Well, ep13 actually explained why she'd think of doing that properly. The dialog in ep12 leading up to that decision was just a whole string of emo gibberish

Never did finish Love Live. I kept up until they till episode 4 or 5 and just forgot about it along the way last season. Same goes for WUG, I have like 7 episodes of that to go through.

As you can tell, not a fan of idol anime. Except Puchimas, Puchimas is justice
