I don't think the world works that way. Just because the world loses air doesn't mean it would be any less violent. Kasper is right. Humans will always find a way to battle each other. In the first place, the root issue isn't solved: people fight over resources. Too many assumptions are being made...to the point it's illogical,  but the I do forgive, since it's only an anime. Though I felt that that decision made for a pretty weak ending...but meh.

Plus, systems of oppression never really last that long. With every limitation comes a push for progress. A system like that would probably fall in a couple of years.

I think the main point is that they have developed quantum computer before rest of the world, which is essentially like becoming god in today's world which is full of digital and wireless systems. With the computer, no security system can stop them and there is virtually no secret to them. The air control is just one of those things they can do with the computer to "manage" the world.

While the root issue isn't solved, large scale warfare became extremely difficult without air transport, effective communication medium and furthermore, aid of digital systems. But anyway, I don't think the story is even trying to tell you "that's the way", and personally I highly appreciate vision conflicts in the show.

Looks interesting. I don't know if I would like only moving my thumb though...wouldn't that cause more problems than moving the whole mouse since you're constantly rotating your thumb joint?

So far I am feeling much better than moving the whole arm, and its not that you have to stick your thumb on the ball all the time, just slightly lift your thumb up or rest it beside the ball to avoid undesired cursor movement.

I can get RSI easier using a normal mouse now that I use a trackball, thumb or finger. Moving you thumb to move a cursor is less things moved than moving your arm for the same thing.

But wouldn't moving your whole arm versus just your thumb joint be less problematic for say, getting arthritis? After all, arthritis is quite common in the finger joints.

Hmm good question. But its not like you need to press hard on the ball or what, so no much pressure applied on finger joints I think.

Yay, poweramp master race!

When I am not using my USB DAC amp with my phone... rarely. I tend to use Neutron with it.
