I thought you meant you were doing ABU Robocon in a team of 3 for a moment there...... LOL

Our team here has got 5 core members (myself included) for R&D and 1x members for assembly work.

The "team" of three struggling to get a simple buggy done in a few weeks won't have a chance. To be very fair, the current split is 95/5/0. I got one guy just only been wire stripping for me, and another one that doesn't appear. FUN...

Pilot's Love Song (PLS) non-spoiler thoughts (Impressions)

This show is a huge hit and miss for many, reading the thoughts on /r/anime and looking around shows this.

The show is doing double duty of being extremely dark-noir serious and going into the innate details at one point, and then being light hearted and skipping over the fine details at another. It does this back and forth for the better part of the running series, but it does it decently. You don't feel nauseous or anything by it, its just a bit of a change of pace for most.

The characters are the biggest hit and miss and their situations. For one, PLS executes this story quite well. The storyboard is crafted extremely well, and while there are LOTs of Cliche's in this show, they are done to maximum effect. This alienates some, but for me, it's pretty amazing to watch.

The biggest issue then being how PLS intergrates a wild formula of serious and deep-detail to shallow and light-hearted too often. We get so many questions right now that are still un-answered. This show has placed some pretty interesting themes on the table but doesn't utilize them properly.

Who are the

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
different nations and countries they are fighting against? Why don't we see them? We don't know anything about them? How does this play into PLS's theme of revolution, republican-democracy, crowd mentality, and an early view of the barbaric world in where it was normal to not know of powerful nations in the world?

are some of the biggest ones that PLS is having a hard time intergrating. PLS is attempting to please the 'common' anime watcher with its light hearted formula, whilst trying to be something bigger. This gives us a mix of weird characterization, set character-roles that some don't outgrow, and a near impossible execution of its themes.

I am able to look past most of those issues , and am extremely invested in the series. The serious parts of the show are cringe-worthy due to how much they hurt and reflect our modern era. Very few shows delve this deeply into revolution, and the population effects on such a personal level. The filth and grime some of our characters went through also hurts my soul.

Overall. PLS is a series that has done quite well for itself despite its flaws to please a wide audience. It makes the viewer invested, and presents a hard-look at the fantasy genre.

Panda Enjoyability Scale is through the roof. 8.8/10 (very high imperial scale)

Objecitvely on imperial scale, it is a 6/10 however.

Imperial Scale:

A standardized scale differing from the normal one in where the average of all anime ratings is a 5/10. The mast majority of shows will fall in here and is a decent score to watch a show.

I would seriously recommend downloading just the first episode of Bake and first of Nise or whatever and giving it a go. Bake is different from the rest and Nise more or less characterizes everything else.

Some love this series, I and a few others on this thread, dislike them.

Please avoid posting pictures of the entire client, or using 'hot' words starting with 't'.

We had a warning a while back.

Guess who recommended it? :P
Yes, the whole Monogatari franchise is a big love it or hate it thing.
But Bucket person here enjoyed Lucky Star which is basically 90% dialog. Just like the Monogatari animes.
I'm mentioning that because I think that is the thing that people hate most about them. It's basically just dialogs packed in amazing SHAFT visuals with lots of fanservice-ish scenes and a bit gore here and there.

It's the latest client I've found before they started adding bloat to it and slowing it down.

Oops, my bad. I didn't know this and I do apologize. Anyways, Tom Yum Goong recommended the series to me and I thought 'why not, lets try it.'

It's a big file, just letting you know that you should try one ep of Bake and one of Nise first to know if it is your thing.

If you loved Bake, you may hate Nise, and vice versa or anything in between.

Bake is more of the theme based, artsy hipster, POV anime while the rest are dialogue and fan service based ones

I read them every time TYG and nod my head in approval most of those times.

I was starting to get the same feeling with my micro-reviews. If no one acknowledges it, I feel like I'm just wasting space. If they need to be more micro let me know. I can just do a pic and a score if that's just as useful as me giving a short spoiler-free impression.

...on that topic...

@Panda: Interesting points on PLS and I agree with the feeling that the show doesn't seem to know if it wants to be dark or not. You can do both but it takes a delicate touch to balance them out,

@Panda²/Bucket: My Bakemonogatari rip is like 25GB, those look like the good anime-marathoning sized ones he's getting to me.

Nise is just a bit more shallow with more pointless fanservice. Overall not as good as the other ones. Features one of the most iconic fanservice scenes ever though :P

Objection!
Nisemonogatari is the only fanservice "focused" one.
Nekomonogatari is super great and Monogatari Series: Second Season is even better than Bakemonogatari.

I can't wait for the movie later this year!

Oh this track is featured in GTA5 :D
I'm just browsing through YouTube and listening to this one Jazz radio show every Friday. I can't offer a better strategy :D
