You can still get the 750ti for $165 here so that's nice. Mining doesn't seem to affect Gpu prices here.

The 750Ti has been having sales of $110, a price it could be found at a bit easier before a few enlightened individuals calculated the profitability of using the 750/Ti cards.

Nvidia cards aren't generally good for mining, but considering the TDP and how ******** low it is on these cards, and with the correct settings, they are turning out quite popular.

And now the R9 270x goes for $270 to $310 ......LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

I'm so happy I bought my graphics cards during the sale. So happy I caught the deal too and sent the two GPU's to different families to get my rebate.

Yeah, AMD card prices are insane right now, almost been tempted to sell my 7950 as it's going for like $50 more used than what I bought it for new. Problem is I'd want to upgrade to something with at least 3 GB of VRAM so it's kinda pointless. Hopefully the higher end Maxwell cards come with 3GB+ by default, if then might pick one up right at the start before the hype blows the prices up and while my 7950 still sells for fairly high.

Also here's a couple random 2hu songs I'm listening to a lot recently.

Yeah but I'm comparing them to stuff like the 780ti which costs upwards of $700+ over here. We don't get uber cheap prices here, but at least it doesn't flux much with supply/demand.

@Elsie GTX770 Classys has 4GB, same with the 780tis. Iinm, they are the only company which has a bulked up ram on the 780tis seeing as even MSI are not planning to release their signature Lightning series for them.

Yeah.... prices are high in Eurasia :/

Seems like your country needs to liberate some weak smaller countries. That'll lower the price of your goods.

One of the Nvidia cards (forgot which one) that has an option for 4GB ram showed no improvement compared to the lower 'version' even in tests with 3 monitors last I checked, anyway, not sure what the test said anymore but something along those lines.

Almost 6:30am and still awake...dayum

Just one, but I'm a texture mod whore so my VRAM usage is high, I believe my fully modded up Skyrim sits at about 2.7 GB of VRAM usage generally. Hell, I could use more as I have like 4K textures for caves so I can get some fairly bad dips in there, plus I have heavy ENB usage so that doesn't help too. Oh, also grass mods kill my VRAM too.

Don't tell me you want a 4GB card just because of Skyrim?

But yeah gatcha. Each and every one of us have different things we want to do with it. 4GB is near unthinkable for me as I'm the type that plays games that don't need it for just one monitor as the AAA games don't have/need that many. While the uber modders may want that.

But I'm not one to say. I 'use' 4GB's of Vram for the better part of the day. Crossfire on my two cards does Vram mirroring but I don't run crossfire for 80%+ of the day. This is because I mine Dogecoin and so I have access to the entirety of my Vram, obviously, I can't use those 4GB's for games (I only can do 2GB) but .....I guess technical I can still count as saying I have access to using and 'do' use on a daily basis, the 4GB's of my card. (not that mining uses up most of it).

Dogecoin difficulty at 985 right now....MINE ALL THE DOGE COIN! QUICK!! QUICK !

You ok over there panda? I think the sleep deficiency is starting to kick in....

Edit: what's your current rig and how much(approximately) do you earn from dogecoins on a weekly basis?

Nah, I don't even really play Skyrim anymore, I was just giving an example of how I use that much RAM. It's mainly that I'm a mod whore. Plus with consoles having 8GB of GDDR5 RAM I can see VRAM requirements going up a lot once games become next-gen only. IIRC even BF4 is supposed to use over 2GB of VRAM sometimes.

Closing in on 7am here

Yeah it is...

Corsair 300R PC Case

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition CPU 3.4GHz (Unlocked 125W C3 Revision) (Can do 4GHz+ easilly)

Corsair H50 AIO Liquid Cooling w/ Dual Fan configuration. Two Corsair 120mm fans used in push pull config

Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P

1x Seagate 1TB 7200rpm HDD

1x Seagate 500GB 7200rpm HDD

1x Seagate 2TB ext7200rpm HDD

1x Seagate 600 240GB SSD

2x Powercolor AMD 7870 GHz Edition GPU

8GB Corsair Vengeance 1333MHz DDR3

Liteon BluRay DVD player

OCZ ModXStream Pro semi Modular 700W PSU

No real cost to it as I upgraded over the last 4 years. The only things left from my original build is the 1TB Seagate HDD, and the AMD CPU. The second oldest thing is the H50 AIO liquid I bought a few months after my original build.

I swapped the CPU case this year from an NZXT to this Corsair. My old mobo was having problems (has had problems) and was an ASUS M4a78T-E which was, a higher tier than my current mobo for its time. However considering my CPU is now an Phenom II. No need to buy a $200 Mobo for it. I got mine on sale for $55 this year, and got the case on sale for $55 as well.

I got myself the Seagate 600 240GB for $110 during Black Friday

The AMD 7870GHz Edition is basically the 'parent' rebrand of the R9 270/x with the 270 being a core clock OC'd but mem clock UC'd 7870 and the 270x being an OC'd 7870 on all accounts. The main thing the new R9 270/x's have are basically a better therman management inside. They use noticeably less power. The manu's have also had time to perfect their own 3rd party designs and optomizations as well which give the new 270 extremely modified cards like the Toxic's a leg up. Currently, a top of the line 270x costs $320. This however, IS NOT WORTH. Only an idiot would pay $320 for this.

I bought my 7870's for $108 each, for $216 toal(free shipping). Considering the R9 270/x is a rebrand of it, EVEN if the new ones have a slight performance boost on the card sometimes......I ain't mad considering the price I paid.

There is no real value to this rig due to how all over the place it is. The rig performs extremely well in graphical syntehtic tests and blows up AAA games when in crossfire, and OC's VERY VERY well (it hits 1400MHz memory with no problems despite being a totally stock card, some 3rd party ones will crash at 1200MHz mem) however, crossfire issues and some non support in the games I predominatly play make it meh for poorly optomized games etc.

I spent about $430 this year on upgrading my computer. Bought the new case, mobo, SSD, and two GPU's.

Sure, it won't render movies as well due to its older CPU and some other schiit...but guess what? I don't do that stuff. I predominately use it for media watching, web streaming, games, hardcore games, and daily use.

It does everything extremely well. Great temperatures, and has extremely high graphical performance nearing that of a single 290 or GTX 780 in benchmarks. 450MB/s on my SSD ain't bad either.

I can see why you're mining now. Good AMD cards with good clocks at ridiculously low price. $430 is not much when you consider the performance upgrades you're getting, my current gpu costs me more than that(specs on my profile), not to mention my 4670k can barely hit 4.2gigs. Do like the minimalistic look of the whole rig, would throw the whole thing into a H440 and be done with it. Lol

Awesome read and I do agree with the 270x not being what it's all hyped up to be.

Yeah. For my uses. Its blazzing good

4+TB of storage for animu. Good enough cpu and liquid for uber tasking. Enough graphical firepower to match an 290/GTX 780 in AAA games. And great SSD speeds,

Paid awesome prices

I also upgraded my Mac recently. Doubled its RAM and gave it a Samsung Evo 840. I sold a textbook and sold my old Mac Ram to help pay for the upgrades.

Noragami is quite interesting and am watching of course

One of my friends recommended Dog Days. It sounds like it has a lot to do with animals...?

They have it for the N7100! Looks like it's time to say goodbye to OmniROM!

More like animal-eared people. Fantasy setting, which is a nice break from all this highschool stuff floating around these days. Keep in mind I'm the kind of guy that likes K-On and Engaged to the Unknown(Kobeni best girl). biggrin.gif

If you're looking for anime with animals and stuff try Gin No Saji. Season 2 is still airing but season 1 itself is already worth the watch.

Not bad.

I turned the $40 million you get from the last heist in GTA5 into $1.2 billion through some stock trading.
Guess I'm good for now.

Too much anisongs in this anime thread.
Needs more Funk.
