Not on Episode 6 of Natsu no Arashi

Loving this series

It embodies SoL Comedy with teenage romance ALONG with strong themes and metaphors in its show.

There are many times that I feel like I'm watching Steins Gate, Grave of the Fireflies, or the first season of Bakemonogatari.

It's use of abstract POV's of the characters, light shaded enviroments, realistic themes and critical thinking during its 'crunch' scenes, and gritty protrayl of its strong WW2 background makes it a show that has me by the b****s

I didn't like Btooom, from the art style to the boring characters that I didn't really care about, just didn't work for me. I bet you were wishing this message boards spell checker could do romanji japanese huh? :-P

@Panda, your description of that series is confusing. So what is it? A comedy, romance, depressing "fireflies"-like show, or a period SoL.

I think most of the deals there are pretty good.

You should try getting some electrostatic headphones to match your speakers though!

Oh I was looking at the 007 in the headamp open box site allright. I just don't want to spring for the amp right now.
According to deadly-sama, it would be better to get the MKI instead of the 2. You could always use it with some $1000 stax amp until you feel like getting a KGSSHV or T2 or something like that.

What the hell are you putting in that thing??? Seriously, an HTPC doesn't need to be expensive at all! blink.gif

ROFL bars of gold MechG. Haha, no I was continuing along my thought process from the earlier email. There is a bunch of stuff I want, or keep putting off buying. The HTPC would be like $500. There is just a bunch of stuff I could buy other than new audio gear or a new fancy time piece, I keep distracting myself instead of being impulsive with a purchase like I used to.

On the topic of the 007, from what I have read I think I would be suited well with the MK II. As with all things audio, the differences are likely to be blown quite a bit out of proportion. Is the MK I warmer, smoother, better.... maybe. Is it THAT much different than the MK II? I tend to doubt it, it's probably like a 0.05% subjective difference, but all you see from people is "omg night and day difference! spend 6 months looking for a mint MK I you'll never regret it!!!!"

Weird stuff happening to Mac

I put in new RAM, the Mac boots up fine. I check system info, it detects it. But then crashes after semi strenuous use.. Then I boot it up again, and then it crashes again.

Try to boot it up again, no dice. Gets an 'unapproved' caller notification. I hard stop it and try to reset the NVRAM following directions. NVRAM won't reset. Everytime it gets to the end, the computer just shuts off. Safeboot won't load either. Recovery mode will load and every other function works. It's just the functions that deal with the OS won't work.

I've put my 'old' RAM back in it. No change.

In Recovery mode, I did a disk check (which includes partition, startup sectors, partition table, OS repair etc) and got no problems (this isn't conclusive however) and SMART says nothing.

I'm just gonna guess my OS got nuked somewhere :/

Sad.

Meh

Hold up a sec Bakapanda, go build yourself a memtest86 ISO (available on some Linux installer discs like Archlinux) and run an error check on your new memory.

For the most part, it seems to be a corrupted OS.

I swapped the old memory back, same problems.

HOWEVER, you are right, the problems could have happened due to bad sticks

I'm backing up some data from my HDD right now by plugging the Mac HDD into my desktop.

Gonna put it back and get some Memtest on a CD

This is actually my first VN ever....
I watched a full playthrough of Katawa Shoujo though! Don't ask why.

I only recently started learning Japanese. Maybe like a week ago. So far I can read maybe 90% of the Katakana symbols :P

Dubai? That's cool! I guess you have a lot less otakus there than in the US or Europe.

Ah, so it screwed up the OS... Lol

Yeah, that sounds like the best course of action. Goodbye going out and doing anything tonight though, lol.
