What? 1964 sells universal versions of their CIEMs?

Buying a good pair of speakers might make you question your headphones.....at least I really don't see a reason for myself to build up a desktop rig after buying myself some good speakers.

Episode 7? I still need to watch that one. Probably won't have time until Thursday though :/

Yeah, I'll see how many chapters it is.

Yep, you have to email them though. They said they are hand made though so they're only $25 less than the CIEM version. Seems good to me though because then I don't have to deal with impressions and $200 reshells every few years.

It really depends on what you mean by "good" speakers though. Frankly I can't be bothered to get powered monitors since I already have a power amp.

I'm also not really sure how much of an upgrade $300/pair speakers would be over my $65 speakers that retailed for $130 and were praised for being really good at that price. My receiver has a room equalizer thingy that basically transforms them from sennheiser-veiled junk to pretty "neutral" sounding (miceblue don't flame me here for saying that ).

That being said, the ARX A1b or whatever it is that @HybridCore mentioned a little while ago is tempting at $300/pair with planar tweeters.

For a tablet OS, Android > iOS > Windows RT > Windows 8(.1).

At the present time, Windows just doesn't scale very well on small high density displays, and the battery life kinda sucks. They also need fans and adequate ventilation. Windows RT is slightly better in this respect, but functionality is very limited.

If you are looking for something cheap, maybe look at the Dell Venue 8 pro? If you can wait a bit and spend a little bit more, look at Lenovo's new 8" Win8 tabs that have 1920*1200 displays.

Emulating Android on Windows would just generate more heat and drain the battery even more.

Finally fixed my iPod Classic's LCD! Now all I need to do is rebuild my music library from scratch and figure out how to play ALAC on it.

And while it's still the 11th here, Happy Birthday @Chasenuva1

Nah man, I'm not talking about Bluestacks crap here.

I'm talking about running Android straight from start without any Windows slowing it down: https://01.org/android-ia/downloads

Nice! iPod repairs are always a PITA.

If you have stuff in FLAC, you can always install Rockbox via EmCORE: http://www.freemyipod.org/wiki/EmCORE and just use Rockbox instead.

Difference between Korean and non-Korean dramas. Please tell it to me.
Well American soap operas are pure crap. I have yet to see one that I'll actually watch. Horrible acting, horrible plot, terrible romance, always filmed indoors at night with dark settings, characters always do things people wouldn't do, violence, guns and yelling all over the place.

There's a reason why Korean soap operas are so popular around the world. Good but cheesy acting, decent plot, good romance, cute as heck, filmed outdoors with natural lighting, characters actually do things people in real life would do, emotional and moving.

Okay, that sounds a lot better than the usual drama we get to see here.

When I was in Hongkong, I was "casted" for a local drama series :-D
I was sitting in a cheap-ass restaurant in the New Territories, minding my own business, stuffing my face with fried dim-sum when a guy comes up to me and tells me that they are going to shoot a scene for a TV series here in a few minutes. He asked me if I want to be "in" the scene or if I would prefer to go outside for a few minutes.
I decided to stay and watch them do their thing.
Was pretty interesting! The scene was rather boring though. Actor and actress sit at a table talking and slurp some bubble-tea. In a restaurant that doesn't even sell bubble-tea.

How does Android on Intel hardware work? Aren't the new Windows 8 bootloaders locked down tight?

I've tried Rockbox, but I've moved back to the stock firmware due to a few reasons:

1. It's always stuck on "Generating database" or whatever it's called. That's what I get when I have OVER 9000 songs in my library.

2. No inline remote control, so no play/pause of music or volume control.

3. No iPod dock support. What am I supposed to do with this beauty then?

I don't think it'll be stereo though. My Galaxy S2 could record videos with stereo audio (with the top noise reduction mic and the bottom normal mic), but my Note 2 running a custom ROM can't do that. I'm pretty sure it can't use an external microphone to record the audio in videos, either.

Well, schiit. Screwed around a bit with the weird partition layout of Windows 8.1, and now I've finally managed to soft brick my Duo 11.

On the bright side, this is a great excuse to buy a new portable computer.
