Nope. Not even once.
Stoned people are rather annoying, if you ask me.

And the whole thing with the tobacco mixed with it....that's an absolute no-no for me. Smoking is one of the worst things one could do to his/her body (you heard it here first :P).

Most people smoke this stuff to relax etc. Since I'm already pretty calm most of the time, I really don't see the need to take drugs like this.
I know at least one person who is addicted to this stuff. Not biologically (since that's not really possible), but mentally.

@TYG; While we're on the topic, I have wanted to ask you about the quote in your signature. "You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry. -Abraham Lincoln"... so what does make you angry?

I'll go first. Stupid people make me angry.

I was always wondering when this show is airing in Japan because it's the most bordeline-hentai thing I've ever seen.

That's a tough one.
I guess people who act highly irrational and stupid in a way that might "hurt" people, the enviroment and so on.
For example religious nutjobs. I honestly hate religious fanatics. Don't get me started on stupids ****s like Ray Comfort.

I now know your level of greatness TYG.

If you want borderline hentai there are these manga or eroge based OVAs that come out every now and then that really push the limits. In recent memory there was Asa Made Jugyou Chu... complete with a scene where a guy gives a girl a suppository.

So you do get angry, and I thought you were always calm.

In truth I have no idea what makes me angry. While I don't admit I like religious fanatics, they don't make me angry either.

Don't take anything so literally...

Surprise surprise :P
A statement like this coming from a nihilist...did not see that coming!

I highly prefer a world with religion than one without.

I hold a similar but not exact sentiment to Rikkun's in that way.I don't like religion at all, but I don't mind them. For various or other reasons.

it's pretty okay to be honest, it's hilarious at best imo.

15 was badass, the animation was improved on this as the battle scenes between ryuko and satsuki were pretty intense. Guess how it ended!

Don't wanna know. Gonna watch it when I get home :/

Hopefully Imocho comes out today....

Just checked. Chuunibyou is out. Good enough

I don't take things literally, I just answer like I do. Don't take my responses seriously either, I would say.

Why? Do you think nihilist are necessarily grumpy pessimists? You would be completely wrong if you'd think that. I am really quite respectful of others, I simply don't share their views.
I won't start hating people for not liking glorious Aku no Hana either (well, maybe a little, but that's beside the point)

I won't spoil it, but you HAVE to see it, pretty exhilirating. Then again, it wasn't that epic, but it was good enough for me.

Word of warning, don't set your expectations high. I didn't, and I enjoyed it. (damn hype)

How is chuunibyou? I don't understand why a lot of people like it, I hope I get just a quick gist of a reason to.

Welp. That moment when your phone freezes up for the second time this week, and you wake up an hour and a half late. Yay for freaking my mom out when I didn't answer her calls...

And yay for not making it to class!

My work so far: (Click to show)
I'm pretty sure I got part a done correctly, just stuck on the last part. Book says the solution is y = y0/[y0 + (1 - y0)e^(-alpha t)]

Isn't it just variable seperable? It's equivalent to solving the integral

1/(y(1-y)) dy == a dt (where a = alpha)
It's an ugly integral, but it can probably be solved by substituting y = cos(u)^2, dy = -sin(u)cos(u) du, we'd get:
-1/(cos(u)^3 sin(u)^3)du = -8/(sin(u)^3) du hmm, that doesn't work. Then let's split the fraction

A/y + B/(1-y) = 1/(y(1-y)):
A - Ay + By = 1, giving A = 1, B =1, and hence it becomes
1/y + 1/(1-y) dy == a t
ln(y) - ln(1-y) = a t

The rest is algebra,
y/(1-y) = exp (a t)+C
Set y(0) = y0:
y0/(1-y0) = 1+C
C = (1-2y0)/(-1+y0)
y = (C+exp(a t)) / ( 1 + c + exp(a t))

Real protip: Don't study the night before at all. Start two weeks in advance and use the day before to relax as much as you possibly can to get to the exam as fresh and rested as possible. That's what I always do, and I guess it works quite alright.

I could help you study if you want. Then again, doing so over Skype wouldn't be too efficient.

Ah yup, thanks! My mind was fried since it was late at night and I couldn't really think very well.

That... Seems like an excellent idea! I should do that for my computer science midterm.

I doubt that would work well, considering (just based on my casual observation) you sign into Skype generally sometime between midnight and 2AM here, which would equate to 3AM-5AM Bowei's time.

Why can't it be just one search bar, instead of incrementally (decrementally?) search by country, then city, street... strangely it works differently for Malaysian address.

Was thinking so much of just getting a WP8 just for Nokia mapping and navigation suite. But then all those Humble Bundle Android games I have...

Yes I realize that comparing to say OsmAnd to Nokia Maps is unfair, since the latter is a huge company sponsored app, so maybe I should compare Nokia Maps to say Sygic or that TomTom app that's actually decent too, but holy hell the prices for the piecemeal in app purchases are going to rack up fast into nopenopenope territory.

Google Maps? Really?

Well, I guess I've never tried the offline mode... Is coverage really spotty in Malaysia?

How is it not being able to run any modern apps?

My biggest problem with windows update is the fact it does it at like 3AM without telling you. Usually I leave my monitors on sleep at night instead of turning them off, so it will wake me up in the middle of the night with blinding computer light. Now multiply this by three computers and you get a very angry person who has to log into all of them the next day.

ok..... now that Apple Effed up my server with its stupid update, I'm prepared to switch to Linux / Unix with a fresh installation.

problem is.... which distro do I get???

Here's some of them I'm considering right now...

  • Linux:
    • Debian
      • Ubuntu
    • Slackware
      • openSUSE
    • redhat
      • Fedora
      • CentOS (I know my school uses this)
    • Arch
  • Unix:
    • FreeBSD

Decisions decisions.....

Well I guess it depends on who you ask, but to paraphase what one of my linux friends said and add in some of my own stuff:

Ubuntu is supposedly really inefficient with it's unity interface thing. Maybe look into a similar version like Xubuntu or Lubuntu that uses a different GUI? Or mint?

Arch is one of the most elitist distros out there. I got pissed off trying to set everything up so I quit and went to one of those ubuntu variants on my home server.

They only charged me for one set so......

I can't believe how lucky I'm sometimes.

LOL nice, their distribution system must be really messed up. Order more things!

Meh powered monitors though... :/
