No problem. And on a random note, I got a demo set of ASG-2s yesterday. Does your set feel like it's lacking treble everywhere but 10k?

The last time I felt like this was when I first saw the ending of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I just assume everyone has seen this masterpiece.

I'm such a sucker for stuff like this.

If you like this kind of sci-fi I would recommend some of Andrei Tarkovsky's films such as Stalker, Solaris, and The Mirror (not sci-fi but probably his greatest work).

Or if you like how trippy it was I would suggest venturing into some avant garde cinema like the works of Stan Brakhage, Jordan Belson, etc.

I'm tired as hell

Just had a math explosion, and the year hasn't even started yet, this was just a pre-test that was required.

I had to get all questions right but one pass it.

I spent hours at the exam place taking and retaking it(limit 6 retakes). 3 retakes later, and I was about to leave the proctoring center, before the people told me that the center(its a huge tutoring and computer station for taking quizes, tests, studying) that they have tutoring hours right now

I book it to get tutored, find out how to do the problem that keeps killing me. Go to a regular computer, practice. And take the test...100%

Which was stupid. I could have been out of there 2 hours early if I got help on the problem that kept killing me. I studied for an hour before I went and it kept killing me. I just figured I could use that as the only question I got wrong and ace the others.....the first time I took the test, I was ONE FRICKING question away from passing.......balls. If I knew how to do that one stupid problem, I could have aced it in 30mins flat.

After I aced it, I walked to the supermarket a few buildings from the emporium, bought some panda food, and walked all the way back to campus(the center is off campus) and then back home.....in the cold....at night.

I watch anime for what it is (or I think it is), not what it could be.

I frequent this Thread and others to exercise my desire to do "some" analysis of anime or see all of your thoughts, but I can stop short of the hyper analysis that a reviewer or some of you may enjoy. I think it's a fast track to burn-out and most of my friends that are like this all end up reading manga exclusively..... and that's fine.

As Panda said, it's not right to make a blanket statement that "you're doing it wrong". There is no right or wrong here, but the point made that "you might be expecting too much from it" seems valid to me.

Hopefully this can chamge a bit what with some Japanese studios branching out from just catering to Japanese market only. Not helping though if people aren't voting with their money (says the one that's not voting too :-P). O think I said it in my post, but what kept me wishing for scifi or something other than slice of life, harem , etc is the artwork is unique. Just sad that it's held back just to draw bland things :-P

Ahhh... Ukraine protests.

As always, Western Media wants to make me puke my brains out at times. Eastern Media at the very least, while much more 'pro-government' and what not, doesn't.

Western Media= Always reports the negatives, with crucial information left out, and in using spark words and plausible-deniability of bias.

Eastern Media= When 'hard' situations arise, positive media comes out, and its hilarious to read.

I prefer the later personally.

A quick search produced this as the top link. It's Canadian Media.

The first two paragraphs make me want to puke

Quote:

At least two protesters were shot and killed Wednesday during clashes with police in Ukraine’s capital, the first protest-related fatalities in a political crisis sparked by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych’s decision to balk at closer ties with the European Union and instead align himself more closely with Vladimir Putin’s Russia. The latest confrontations were sparked by new laws limiting the right to protest.

As a central Kiev street burned, several thousand protesters fought with police who violently beat and shot at those assembled, a throng that included volunteer medics and journalists. Security forces were equipped with an armoured personnel carrier and the power to shut streets and fire water cannons in the freezing weather.

As a central Kiev street burned, several thousand protesters fought with police who violently beat and shot at those assembled, a throng that included volunteer medics and journalists. Security forces were equipped with an armoured personnel carrier and the power to shut streets and fire water cannons in the freezing weather.

The protests were incredibly violent towards the police. The public has been getting extremely violent in their affairs. Considering only two were killed, I call that amazing.

Next point of factual information. A majority of Ukrainians (the moderates) support the governments decision to stop the intergration or closer ties with the EU.

Next point of factual infromation the president and other authority figures in Ukraine have tried to let out. The stringent economic policies of the EU, and if the EU tie deal was to renew, would mean possible if not near economic collapse for the Ukraine. Not as severe as it sounds, but it would mean schiit would go down hard. A mass majority approve of closer ties with Russia, who is providing assistance and aid to the Ukraine's economic situaton.

Violently beaten by those who are at the front lines beating the national authority. It's been months that the protest have been continuing, its not that they came in full brunt force one day. Increasing violence and chaos leads to situations in the field. The police are people. There are far fewer of them than there are protesters. Situations arise and happen.

Limiting right to protest? Nobody actually read the law that Ukraine passed did they? Or see the context in which it was passed. Ukraine was on the edge of political-economic collapse. The radical parties that are supporting and helping the protestors in the country have been boycotting and taking 'illegal' actions in their parliament.

Quote:
Far from being "anti-democratic," it is designed to give the authorities the tools they need to act against those who actively prefer violence to dialogue. While one might quibble over whether libel should be criminalized, or how precisely one should determine "extremism," what reasonable person would argue that to express their discontent they must camouflage their face, wear military gear, occupy government buildings, or bring traffic in the middle of a city of more than three million to a complete stand still

The protest law - while it may entail powers that can be immorally used - were granted and passed in a time of great violence and chaos in the Ukraine. The western governments, and especially the US that criticize it have and are GUILTY of doing the same thing. Patriot Act, and the Wall Street Protests of the USA were all like this.

The protests have been going on for over two months now. The economic situation is grim if this continues. The protestors are not 'wrong'. Their wants and passion for what it is they are fighting for is very good. However, their childish actions could and can and will cause great pain if this continues any longer.

Tanks are being mobilized by the Ukraine government to the capital where the protests are. Considering Russian advising and that the Ukraine government isn't that dumb. I don't believe anything 'actually' bad will happen. It may best to take actions similar to what the USA did with Wall Street. But hey, I'm not an expert at dispressing violent crowds without launching a tank into it.

Stuff like this is why I really really don't like subscribbing to news or politics things

However, I still have to or else I can't stay up to date.

I've been curating the sources I've been using to The Diplomat(do doo horse schiit analyzation, but still decent), CCN, RT, and a few other world organizations. So far, its been going well.
