Kill La Kill saving Winter 2014 with Gundam Boy Friend and Tonari no Seki-kun (>>>>> D-Frag).

Yo.

What's cool this season? (besides Gin no Saji and Space Dandy)

Even if what he said is true doesn't mean he tells the truth and with his apparently suspicious way of talking, it probably was just a ruse.

Now I haven't watched SSY for a long time but I believe that later on after they find the bone remains they said that DNA traces from their remains confirmed to be Maria and Mamoru (am I right?)

Whatever it was, I would think that when Maria and Mamoru disappeared, the Bakenezumi kept tabs on them. A few years passes by, Maria gives birth to Mamoru's child. The Bakenezumi finds a way to put them in a compromising situation, they managed to kill Maria and Mamoru and took away their baby then to be raised by the Bakenezumi.

The remains are then put in a specific place so that people from the village can find it.

Now this is just a theory and it might be wrong, could be that they captured Maria and Mamoru, forces them to have a child and then kills them afterwards but that doesn't make sense since they can just escape easily with their powers.

Seems legit.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The elders checked Maria and Mamoru's dental records, which would've been impossible for the Bakenezumi to replicate. And it also explains how their child came to be.

On another note, I recently procured a set of Sony MDR-10Rs. So far so good - it justifies its High Resolution Audio branding well. FLAC Anime OSTs sound very nice, too. The only thing that disappointed me was the pouch-type carrying bad that it came with. So I bought an $11 generic hard case, which to my surprise, fits perfectly. Well how about that?

+1 for Noragami and Nisekoi. Don't think Tilpo would be much into either though.

(Super Oats).

Sasuga Shaft. Seriously, watched the second episode of Toaru Hikuushi just before Nisekoi and it makes Hikuushi's bad directing look even worse. Hikuushi is blandblandblandbland visually at best, but more often just bad.

Since Shaft's next season project is Kagepro I wonder what's happening with Prism Nana...

Tonari no seki kun is a marvelous comedy short. Nobunagun kind of has potential. Nobunaga the Fool too kind of has potential; too bad about them degrading Joan of Arc into a vulnerable cleavage showing broad that needs saving. Witch Craft works.... apparently a lot of bloggers who I respect their opinion love it, so.... yeah. I like Noragami, but maybe you might have seen the theme of "whoops I killed you/something else regarding your soul and now we're gonna fix you up" too much. Hoozuki no reitetsu is civil servant comedy, in Hell.

Conversely, you can read my blog...

Mind you though I have a few other anime that I might like I haven't tried yet.

When I told my friend about Nobunaga the Fool he just did a huge WTF impression and even more when I said that the characters are based from historical figures but the best is when I told him that one of the character's name is not Jeanne d'Arc but Jeanne KAGUYA d'Arc (I accentuated Kaguya) and we both facepalmed in laughter.

I clicked the video away after hearing her name.

I thought Nobunagun was the terrible one and Nobunaga the Fool was the decent one... Or was it the other other way around. I'm confused.

Went Googling for the Psycho Pass Super Oats picture and found this:

Can't remember if someone else linked it muuuuuuch earlier in the thread. I think the picture was linked anyway. But hilarious, and somehow the lyrics work so well!!!

Also, Sekai Seifuku is officially my favorite premiere this season. Hope it keeps it up so I can start saying it's the best show of 2014 in mega-font.

Well, the usual Shaft animation style and use of high contrast colors..

Personally I think Hikuushi is doing quite well so far, definitely far from bad directing.

Hahaha! I took a book and bashed it on my head several times when I first heard that.

It's silly but the anime has a charm in its own.

Ooooooooook. I was probably being a bit harsh with the whole bad directing thing. Thinking about it now, my issue with Hikuushi is probably more due to the combination of low budget, the fact that the base setup actually has potential but was instead turned into a ridiculous trope-fest, and because it looks like Bland Anime No.91209. I know Nisekoi is pretty damn tropey as well, but at least it has some flair.

lol I know, I guess I'm thorough or just not very good... Are you still on? going to log in now. Though I have zero clue how to play together etc.

Yup it's called Simoun. It's about airplanes too (or air ships or wtv...), and only children (before choosing a gender) can pilot them.

Ahh I see, I see

I'll be online in an hour or two :D I'm Kingbowness add me

Man this reminds me of playing with Jgray last year :D He can't do it anymore as he moved and is on South East Asia server (we call it SEA)

Ahh yeah, I looked into it last night, doesn't seem to be my thing

V-MODA Crossfade M-100 + JDS Labs C5D on max bass boost = super satisfying rumbling when you face smash an enemy or an explosion happens

The stuff I saw on it didn't interest me. Plus, I don't have an Xbox controller for the PC :/

This is why the show reminded me a lot of "A Brave New World", because of the relative lack of sexual restrictions placed on people. This seems to be quite common in utopias/dystopias though, either as a right of the people (if they're not forced to) to love whoever they want whenever they want, or as a way to help subdue people (if they're forced to pick mates), because if all you're thinking about is love, you're not thinking about the crappy government. Now I'm not sure which one SSY is; it seems there are certain points when people have to "partner up" for group projects or whatever, but I'm not sure if there are deeper social implications there in that people are being "forced" to confess to the people they love or not.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
And yes, as Saki presumably marrying the guy at the end of the show, or at least having a baby implies, they do acknowledge that having offspring regardless of orientation is important.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Yep, that was damn brilliant. There were many times throughout the show where I thought the bakenezumi's progression was a lot like humanity's. I never expected it though. The shift from the queen to democracy definitely parallels most of our societies shifting from monarchies to democracies, especially in the 19th and 20th centuries. And of course, firearms and gunpowder and all that stuff. I'm not sure what the girl really represents though, other than possibly the fact that more and more humans are becoming atheist?

What the... Why is that three spoilers?

HF does that now

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I think them using the human child represents not just atheisim but a break between humanity and the gods. That today in our 'world', we are doing practices and things that we supposedly either learned or were given from the Gods or were able to gain, apart from the Gods. The examples being surgery, modern medicine, airplanes etc. STuff that used to be the Gods powers, and for the Gods to decide, now in human hands.

Squealer/Yakomaru said that bakenezumi could replicate human remains from the skeletons of their taller deceased, due to the similarity.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The anime later on said that they were legit legit killed by the Meerkats somehow. Probably during childbirth or whatever when they were at the weakest they were shot or poisoned with schiit.

Exactly like Vortex Said but shorter

Super low framerate + Simple scene composition + Static objects or characters + Colorful decorations or light effects -> Shaft's low budget animation

Apparently neither of the two is of high budget project. I think Nisekoi has more "shiny" presentation, but also Hikuushi has more natural or smoother animation. More of a matter of preference.

By the way, I guess I will be pretty ok when most of the shows are like Hikuushi's one, but probably not so for Nisekoi.
