I currently have the following system: foobar -> usb -> stello da100s -> headamp gs-1 -> LCD-2/HD650
Soon to be adding a balanced setup with a woo WA22 over the holidays. My computer does not have any other output than USB, and the DA100S only handles 44.1/16-bit via usb, so everything over that is getting downsampled.
looking for suggestions....i've thought about going for a stello u3 and using it for USB-> SPDIF -> DA100S so I can at least utilize the 96/24-bit formats. or should i save the money and put it towards a full dac upgrade to something else. suggestions? thanks
