Hello!
I'm looking for a solid set of over-ear headphones, and I'm wondering if you all have some recommendations. I, personally, am a novice in this area, so if you would be so kind as to give me some guidance or recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated. :)
Constraints/about:
- This is a Christmas present; the max price is $250, but if there's a, say, $275 set that blows everything else out of the water, I'd be more than willing to chip in a bit of money.
- I'm a college student, so I will be travelling a bit with the headphones (from my dorm to study lounges, etc.)
- I mostly listen to Techno/Rock/Metal/Dubstep (Deadmau5, Red, All That Remains, Skrillex). So mids/lows are more important than highs. And bass is pretty important.
- Wired is preferred, especially if I can replace the wire without replacing the headset with it
- Comfort is important; I'll probably wear these for a solid ten hours daily for a week when finals come around, etc.
- Noise-cancelling/isolation would be great. The dorms and study lounges are rarely quiet enough to study in peace. :p
- Also, I have glasses I wear at times; I have contacts/can see mostly fine without them, and I doubt there are many over-ear headphones that are necessarily comfortable with glasses on, but I can hope, can't I? :P
- I have a Dell XPS 15 (L502x) and an Android phone that I'll be hooking it up to. So I may get an amp with it if necessary.
Any help, like said, is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time! :D
EDIT: Considering the HFI-580's with the E11 amp. Thoughts?
