Static from headphones connected into speakers

Hello,

 

I just recently bought some Logitech X-140 2.0 Speakers. They sound fine when plugged into my laptop, but when I connect my headphones, Sennheiser HD-555, into them, I get this static/humming sound from my headphones. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

Do not plug your headphones into the speakers. I think the low quality headphone output of the Logitech speakers can cause those sounds.

 

Plug your headphones directly to your soundcard, or buy some dac where you can connect your headphones and speakers at the same time such as the Behringer UCA-222. You would probably get better audio quality too.
