Does the connectors really affect the sound quality???

I am getting a 3pin XLR plug for my amp and considering Viablue or Neutrik,

The viablue is gold plated while Neutrik is silver,

does it really affect the sound quality?

Thus far, it has not been shown to have any audible effect. Both are well made connectors.
