Headphone Recommendations

Hey I'm new to the forum, but already I notice the love for beats. I'm glad to say I think I'm on the love boat already. My fiance got me a pair around July and already one of the earbuds doesn't work. Anywho enough about the beloved beats, there are many more places to talk about that here. I was just seeing if I could get some recommendations from people around the forum on what my next pair should be. Looking at both earbuds and over the ear types.

Thanks for the help.

What type of music do you listen to?  Do you need them to be sound isolating or portable?  Do you foresee significant non-musical uses, such as movies or computer gaming? What's your price range?

search and read some threads and get an idea of how much you are gonna spend, what kind of sound signature and type (iem, portable, full size, etc) you want then ask again.

I was thinking more the full size variety, i only plan on using them for music. I'm into most types of music, from pretty lights, to coheed and cambria,  and atmosphere. I would prefer to spend no more than 50-150.  If you need more info just ask.

The Sony MDR-V6 are a good starting point at around $60-$100 depending on the seller. They wouldn't put you too much in the hole, and you'd have a nice pair of headphones. However, if you have a large head the V6 is pretty tight.
