FS is one of the nicest M3's ever built...
This is my solidstate reference to compare to my tube headphone amps, but since I have
too many amps it just doesn't get the playing time it deserves.
DIY based on the boards from AMB:
- only using the best parts like Dale resistors, Vishay, Wima and Panasonic FC caps
- OPA627 op amps (picture shows the previously used AD8610)
- 85$ TKD pot with custom made Delrin knob
- Sigma11 psu
- custom made wooden case in stained cherry wood
- perspex front and back
- lid made from translucent painted perspex
- Neutrik locking jack
- switchable bass boost to enhance bass below 60Hz
- transformer only has 230V primaries so this offer applies to people with matching mains
voltage only.
The amp is in almost pristine condition considering it's DIY and only shows very minor traces
of use. It has low hours on it (see above) and has never had a problem of ANY kind, which also
means that the amplifier is dead quiet and really rocks once you turn it up.
