Fostex T50RP cable question

I know some of you guys recabled the Fostex but I'm not knowledgeable enough to make my own headphone cable. So I go to thinking, the plug on the headphone is 3.5 mm,  if I buy an angled 3.5 mm adapter, a 3.5 to 3.5 cable, i can then combine then into a new cable. Would that work? It won't lock like the original cable but the cable would be lighter. It would probably cost me only 15 bucks.

V-moda has a cable for you.  I think it's in your ballpark price range.  One of the plugs is at a 45-degree angle and you can choose to use that at the T50RP jack.

Also, aside from V-moda, it should not be too hard to find third party stereo patch cables with a right angle 3.5mm end.  I own a few, though they're very short and very cheap.

if i can't find a patch cable, I could make one by connecting a 3.5 mm right angle adapter to a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable right.

Yes.  But I recommend you find a cable and buy it, and I think the V-moda cable is a great value.

To use an adapter off the left earcup and plug a cable into seems to me to be very bulky.

I can't seem to find any stores around here that's selling that v-moda cable. I may have to order it on line I guess

In the T50RP thread someone was using a Beats replacement cable to good effect.
