Looking for some advice/feedback on this situation:
I have a pair of Monster Turbine Coppers, which I love the sound of.
But they make my ears tired on extended listening sessions because of their weight.
I'm looking for an over-ear equivalent to the coppers. The sound signature doesn't need to be identical, I might even prefer if it is more of a complimentary sound sig. The only full-sized headphones I've had an opportunity to listen to have been the Grado lineup, a few of the high end Sennheisers (very nice, but missing some punch on the low frequencies) , Senn hd25 (didn't like them), JVC HA-RX700 (The driver pushes on my ear, bulky, plasticy, muddy).
So here's the criteria:
-Must be comfortable for long periods of time
-preferably closed so I can also use them at home & work
-Nice impactful bass, but not boomy
-Good clarity throughout the spectrum
- +-$250
*edit* - The music I listen to:
Blues
Blues-rock
Classic rock
Electronic
Dub-step
Dub/Reggae
Ska
alt. rock
Thanks in advance!
