Absolutely; considering GR07, FXT90, and Atrio MG7s now. Thanks for the confirmation

Wow, I forgot how good the SE530's mids are........but still no match for the RE262....

Another discovery: the Hifiman bi-flanges tips (silicon) sound fantastic on the TF10!!

What genres are you listening to?

With the TF10? Mainly rock and some r&b. Jazz, blues, gospel and acoustic music with the RE262, FXT90 and 7550. A little bit of everything with the GR07 and 1964-Q. W4 is mainly for jazz.

Oh ok. I was wondering why you even liked the TF10, seeing that I despised it.

I despised it to (like two years ago), but I think I had a faulty one. The TF10 can be pretty decent - I've found - with the right tips on it and for certain genres. I thought the mids were very recessed (they were) in my first one. Now so much in this one. It's cool enough, but not in my top 5 of favorite IEMs.

nice to see 262 getting some love

too bad my pair broke 1 week after i got my arrow amp

oh well , at least i have the 272 and eq5 to keep me company

still , i wonder how would 262 and 272 fare against each other

OK - confused - so many people claim the 262 is very similar to the TF10, but we have two Head-Fiers who love the former and despise the latter ? I've never been a fan of UE's pricing, but this seems a little odd - have I gotten that comparison completely wrong ?

I think you need to re-read the comments again my friend. I don't see anyplace where a lot of people claim the 262 is similar to the TF10 (actually I don't see anyone saying that at all). I think you misread somehow...

Yeah, they really couldn't be more different.  0 similarities.

That fine with me - its an aging design and I have no interest in ever hearing the TF10, so digging through old posts to 'prove a point' isnt the best use of my morning. I guess its back to (gulp) work ....   eek.gif

So, I really didn't like the RE262 silicon double-flanges on the 7550 (I have a set of stiffer silicon single flanges that look like the Jays that I like better  - curtesy of cute...thanks again sir).

But I have, however, discovered that there is a silicon double-flange that I like better on the RE262 than its already great double-flange silicon. Shotgun and FlySweep (and cute) try the Meel M11 long silicon double flanges. I find that it gives me more bass and brings the treble out a little bit more too in RE262. Loving it!!
