€920 (EURO) or Best Offer
send a PM to take the next step.

For Sale:
Sold : SPL Phonitor

Will Ship To: European Union

My Phonitor has been purchased in February 2010.
Hasn't been used much since I do/did own several headphone amps, several electrostats and several pairs of loudspeakers.
Obviously I 'm relatively wealthy but unfortunately money doesn't grow on trees and therefore I have to work a lot.
Not much time for all the toys.
The Phonitor has certainly been used for less than 200 hours, maybe less than 100 (I know it's a shame), has been babied and is consequently in very good condition.
Nonsmoker, no pets and so on.
Links to feedback on Ebay and Head-Fi are in my sig.
Additional pics on request.

Payment : I do prefer an ordinary bank transfer via the IBAN-- BIC/Swift system (any european bank offers this without special fees in case your currency is € ) but I do offer a Paypal transfer as well as long as you cover the fees.

I'm located in Düsseldorf / Germany in case someone wants to pick it up locally.

Well, accusations based on an unjustified assumption -- I guess that's a new way of thread crapping.wink_face.gif

Ebay? No, thanks.

I haven't utilized Ebay as a seller of audio gear for the last year due to the ever increasing fees.

I rather offer my gear here fore a more reasonable asking price instead of feeding greedy Ebay.

Lots of interest almost exclusively from members located in countries outside the EU although I've explicitely stated

Will Ship To: European Union

The reason for my reluctance to ship to locations outside of the EU is the almost total loss of control whether the deal goes right or wrong.

Leaving the EU the only affordable parcel service is DHL and that's such a crappy company I don't want to have anything to do with. This formerly state owned company basically fired almost all the experienced staff after the privatization  and hired low salary sub contractors. The tracking system doesn't work across borders, the damage ratio is scaring and they alway find a way to weasel out whenever they destroy something even when their fault is quite obvious.

I've imported quite a lot from overseas. That's always more risky than a local deal, and I know this.A substantial percentage of those deals went wrong one way or the other.I'm an adult and accept the occasional loss without unjustified accusations or other kinds of drama.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be a common attitude, and I don't have any desire to get into reputation ruining mudslinging without having done anything wrong.

Also : I've published quite a few classifieds here and elsewhere and had to learn that everyone tries to haggle nowadays even though all my asking prices are more than reasonable.

Reminds me of an episode in Monthy Python's "Life of Brian".Most people seem to be unhappy when they can't haggle  quite a bit.

Pfhhh, I'm german and wasn't raised on a turkish bazaar. All this haggling business is so incredibly inefficient.

Well, maybe I have to adapt though in order to get satisfied buyers.

I  hereby raise the asking price to 920 €.

Now you can haggle me down in three time consuming rounds to €800 if that makes you happy wink.gif

Hehe, well said, it was a nice read.

If I didn't already own one before and was in the market for this amp I'd buy it right away from you.

800€ is a good price indeed, I've seen another one for sale here this week for more.

Good luck with the sale!

Your English is excellent. Until I got to "Pfhhh," I thought you were an American living overseas.

Good luck with your sale; if I were on the right side of the pond you'd have sold it by now.

Wasn't that supposed to be "the left side"?
