No E9. You have the STX. You're gaining nothing by getting the E9 until you completely remove the STX from the circuit (like if you buy a nice DAC in the future). Even then, I would pair it with a nice warm tube amp, not a solid state perhaps. Especially since you're trying to oumph bass. Speaking of which, get yourself a Digizoid ZO^2 to introduce to the chain if you want more bass options.

TYVM for the info Mal noted. I could just reroute my E9 funds for the digizoid. Would it really make the bass more impactful?

It'll make it louder. That might mean more impactful.
