Decided on headphones, 2 hours later, bad head and no further forward!

Basically decided on beyer dt 7770 pro 250ohm

 

however having read about this for 2 hours seems not the phone im looking for, im coming from a hd 555 and loved the sound from them but lacked bass, not alot just didnt really exist.

 

uses:

 

80% - listening to high quality trance / dance / house through essence stx soundcard using foobar software.

 

20 % - BF3 ( in my opinion this game has no spacial awareness what so ever impossible to hear footsteps etc)

 

Spec me some phones for £150 budget im from uk.

 

What put me off the beyers the most was the lack of mid range, female vocals on trance songs really get me going...

 

Isolation isnt a problem.

 

im thinking of a straight jump up the the 558's now...

 

help my head hurts :(

Whatever Sony XB model you can afford. Great at bass. Honestly have no idea about their midrange. And also, when bass is in question, mids and highs ALWAYS take a hit. There is no perfectly balanced headphone. There are... but they do everything equally bad. If you're looking for great bass and a super awesome midrange, LCD-2... but I have a feeling that's a bit out of budget.
