I currently have a pair of the Pro 80's on loan, and I must say i'm impressed by them. Really solid build quality, they make my CAL!'s feel cheap in comparison. They're reasonably balanced with extremely good detail retrieval (they didn't choke even with the busiest technical/progressive metal I tested them with - Spawn of Possession, Spiral Architect, Origin, Nile) raw and clear midrange, fast and punchy bass with inoffensive treble which could use more extension. Running them out of my Nuforce uDAC's headphone out is a great combo, they have more body and power compared to a Sansa Clip+ headphone out.

Sure I have, my whole basement is filled with Takstar phones LOL

 

It has a similar siganture to Pro80, but a little less detailed, a nice phone when in transit/on vacation..

 

If I was to buy me a pair of Takstar I would get the Pro80, if I had a set Pro80 and was tired of the size and heavycable I would buy the HD2000..

 

Hd2000 fits bigger heads than Pro80, but are smaller to look at..

 

Like most of the phones in their line it is a good buy..

TakStar Pro 80.

Anyone know if TakStar will offer the Pro 80 with Velour ear pads?

Or are there any aftermarket velour ear pads that would fit the Pro80s?

A lot of pads fits the PRO80, Beyer ones would fit, the ones from jaycar/Fisher also fits, with a bit of good will the pads for AKG240 also fits, my favorite is the ones from Phillips HP10000...

Hi everyone, im Alex, from Brazil and i just got a Takstar 2050 from ebay.

 

My first "real" phone, so im reallyyy excited. I will be most using for long ours of Heavy Metal, and a lot of gaming (with clip-on zalman mic) and i hope i have a great time with my new headphone.

Just made this post to thanks Claus-DK for his time and all his post on theses foruns (i even read the "strange language one"). It sure helped me a lot decide to buy theses phones.

My Takstar TD-671 arrived a few days ago, bought them from Seaben for $60. so far they sound fairly good.

I'll post a review after testing with different sources.

Curious how you would compare them to the 2050 in sound quality and to others in terms of comfort. It'd cost more for me to get the 671s, but I'd rather go that route if they are more comfortable as I spend many hours a day in headphones.

As of this morning, I have found the 2050s on Aliexpress for less than $50 w/free shipping (min 1 pc order). I just wish I had more info on the 671s before I pull the trigger on anything. Anyone have day to day experience with the 671s already (come on Purple Angel !).

The Takstar Hi2050 is sold under the name Technical Pro HPT990 on Amazon and other places.

 

Sorry, my Beyer T70s are hard to get away from.

Just spent the last 20 minutes testing the TS-671 with a movie (Amadeus) and several music videos and mp3s.

So far everything sounded great.

The only negative is wearing them makes me look like a Cyberman.

Buuut if you had to pick between them and the 2050s as far as comfort goes, which would you pick? :D

I think i like wearing the Hi2050, I like the slightly tighter grip (currently).
