When I got my Takstar Hi2050 more than 3 years ago, nobody knew them, after a while I found this thread and decided to try and blow some life into it, the proof that the Takstars are good is in this thread, it has been running for several years have 100s of positive feedback on these phones, some has been negative, but 99% are impressed and happy..

The people have spoken..:beerchug:

HPT990 is the HI2050, not the Takstar Pro 80, right?

Thanks for turning us on to a great inexpensive headphone that sound much better than the price would indicate. I'm listening to them as I type this!

I would also like to thank you for making takstar more known to the public. I purchased hi2050 in june 2012 mostly based on on your opinion off them. I'm glad I did. Few months later I bought jvc dx1000 and again your impressions of the headphone played a big part in my decision. After that I've been through many headphones but hi2050 and dx1000 are still here and are not going anywhere :)

btw... If anyone is having problems with hi2050 headband pioneer se-m290 headband can be fitted on takstars easily. I know it looks weird but it is super comfortable. Imo self adjusting headbands are the only right way of designing headphones!

Thanks for all the kind words....

Beocord@ such a cool mod..

Unfortunately I have now got my self a new love, so the Takstars do not get much headtime, but they will stay in the museum forever..

Actually nothing else has gotten any headtime the last week..

I second that question.

Just reporting in about my friend I lent the PRO 80 to for the weekend. (he's had them 2 days) I saw him today and the first thing he said was.....

Him: " Hey those headphones are alright"

Me: "Yeah, they're not bad aren't they"

Him: "Are you trying to sell them to me?"

Me: "Aww yeah, I guess if you want them"

Him: "Done! How much do you want?"

Me: *add very good price here*

So it looks like I'll be replacing them with another pair sometime. :D

^ Can I ask how they stand up to the DJ100? (If you can remember)

All I can tell you is... I preferred PRO 80 MUCH more than DJ100. Anything sound related is a vague vague memory of the Koss.

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster here :D

Been in love with the Takstars for about 6 months now, I started from the HD2000, and they sound really good, so I decided to upgrade to the Takstar Pro-80 in November, based on what i read in this thread.

They were pretty expensive, by Indonesian standards (approx US$110-120, close to a month's food cost here, though you get a 2 years replacement warranty from the local distributor), and I was pretty apprehensive about pulling the trigger at first, but I did it anyway.

Never regretted the decision afterwards, not even once. They were excellent!!!  Currently listening to them while I'm typing this

Thanks ClausDK and everyone in this thread
