Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look Audinst MX1 out wink.gif
Yeah I guess I'm sensitive to it. Even now my ears are still slightly hurting. Yep, I'm gonna try the Fiio amp.
Yeah, I'll give it a few days then I'll decide after that. For my first cans, these are srsly frustrating lol. I didn't do serious research before I buy these cans, just based on what my seller & friend said. Try and error, at least now I learned something new.

Anw thanks for replying guys! redface.gif

Do you have a receiver you could plug the TS-671 into, see if it improve the audio quality?

I would think the Takstar Pro 80 (Gemini HSR-1000) would be the better choice for gaming.

For FPS gaming, maybe the Takstar Hi2050 (Technical Pro HPT-990).

Takstar hd2000 are not very good in terms of built quality in my opinion. I think HD439 would be a better choice. But, only for gaming, I find my Steelseries 4H really good. Well built, really confortable and good for in game positioning.

Best Luck!

Why not get a USB 7.1 gaming headset for gaming?

I've been trying Somic's and Sades' gaming headphones, and they are outstanding. Very good quality for music as well, plus a built in amp and 7.1 soundcard.

Somic G927 v2012 > $25. Best value set, 40mm

Somic G909 > $40 40mm + vibration

G945 v2012 > $43, 50mm drivers

E95 v2012 > $90 physical 5.1 headset + vibration

G989-HD > $143 physical 7.1 headset + vibration

Sades SA-907 > $65 50mm

Sades SA-906 > $40 40mm+ vibration

Want to get away from a usb "virtual 7.1 setup"  I had the somic g945, think the 2010 ones, not bat but the mic was not great.  I am looking at moving away form the realtek ALC889 and getting a Asus Xonar DGX card.  Most of my team mates have Sennhieser PC350. Bit out of my reach at the moment.  Preferbly want closed headset as i play late at night.  Don't want to keep everyone awake with all the noise.  I had the Genius Cavimanus 7.1 with bass vibration, but the mic picked up sounds every time someone else on Teamspeak spoke and ended up giving feedback.

Best bets would be the HD6000, HD5500, or Pro 80 (Gemini HSR-1000).

Superlux and Somic make great bang for the buck headphones too.

If you go for the M50, get it when it is on sale at $99.

I see... I didn't know that it was the older model.

M50 for $99 ?! When will it be?

I'm hopeful that burning in will improve audio quality.
Are you gaming with a Windows PC, the an Asus Xonar DG sound card should help, $26 and there is a $10 mail in rebate this month.
I think it's too early to decide on selling off the Takstar, really need to give it a little break in time and try it with an amplifier.

Yes, I've been seeing a lot of people recommending those Asus Xonar. As much as I want to upgrade my PC hardware, currently I cannot. On Dec, I'm off studying abroad to USA, so I only bring my Laptop with me. So I'll only buy a Portable DAC/Amp now that will last me at least until Jan. Maybe if it's possible to build a PC there, I'll buy that soundcard for sure. Nevertheless, buying stuffs in USA is more cheaper rather than buying it in my country wink.gif

I'll keep the Takstar now. I noticed a slight improvement after burning for about 11 hours...still many more hours to go smily_headphones1.gif

Could you suggest me a good budget portable DAC/Amp? What do you think about E07k / E10?

Just got my HD5500's in. First impression:   My new favorite Takstar headphone. Nice big bass, and fairly neutral mids and highs. Crystal clear. They included a freq. response graph in the manual too which shows the same thing.

Wish the price was lower, but damn these are nice so far.

So better than the Pro 80 ? Soundwise that is....

Could you make a screenshot of FR of HD5500 and post it

The bass on the 5500 can bloat a bit, but it is intended for EDM as listed in their specs. Trying to find a good EQ setting to keep the elevated bass and not let it bleed into the mids sometimes.

Fantastic sound for $50, absolutely.

If you use iOS, download Accudio for $5 from goldenears. It has downloadable EQ settings for the Pro-80 to tame the peaks and dips.
