Little Dot 1+ tube question(s)

ok, so just recieved my LD1+ and already love it! how are you supposed to clean these tubes exactly? also, the left one is already dark and the left chamber of my headphones sort of has a hum, up until you play the music, then you can't even tell it's there at all, and as I play music, it sort of dissappitates. The whole removing the jumber caps things was a little confusing because the booklet made it seem like tehre was more to it then just moving caps around/removing them. anyway...PICTURES:

after more listening the hum as completely gone.

My tubes are the ef92. Thanks for the suggestion. So you just clean the bottom pins not the inside of the tubes? Haha just because I was like... How do I get inside these haha but yeah I say this because there seems to be a build up of something wothin the tubes themselves.

just upgrade to something else, the stock chinese tubes are a waste of time. Even a 20-30 dollar tube upgrade is good enough for you to settle for a while.

they have some sort of name on them, I just cannot decipher it for it's sort of worn down and what not. But yeah. I mean, it's really whatever. Tubes aren't that pricey and I will start rolling in a few weeks after I get used to the LD

also, what will happen if I don't clean the pins? Is it an utter necessity.

not really, I never cleaned mine. But if there was ever a problem with the tubes, the first solution would usually be cleaning the pins. If not, don't worry too much.

what's the longest you've left your LD1+ running for? Just curious

I know this is not good haha but the longest I've left it on was for around 12-13 hours. When I first got it, the unit was quite hot all around, but after a period of time (burn in and regular use) the unit was warm like a comfortable temperature to touch, only the tubes remained hot. But LD+ is a quality unit, rarely hear anyone having issues with it.

haha awesome. yeah I just think I left it on last night because I fell asleep, was just curious what the possible repurcussions were if this were to happen again.

yeah i just try to keep an eye on it every so often. The manual says don't let it run for more than 8 hours straight but if needed, give 1 hour rest time in between especially when you are doing your burn in period.
