Was curious about the community's favorite! 

 

Bass, Soundstage, Sound Quality, Ohms and Fit are the most important factors!

From memory for some.

 

In term of overall SQ = D2000->780->580->DT770->XB700->700MKII(not tried)

 

Fit = DT770->D2000->XB700->780/580

 

Soudstage = D2000->780->DT770->580->xb700

 

Bass (no ranking) = quantity = 580/XB700/DT770/700MKII (apparently)

                             quality = D2000/780

From my experience denon d2000 had weight and was airier then ultrasone (pro 550 in my case). if I had to choose again between those two I would go for denons without second thoughts, even that I needed fast bass response for drum and bass and denons where much slower, that is how bad my experience was with ultrasone.

but those are pro 550, we're talking about 580 and 780...dunno their similarities :/

Ultrasone pro 550 is tuned hifi 580 FWIR with improved s logic. Anyways I voted, so I had to bring reasons for choosing denons.

they are favorites among the community, but most people that have them or vote for them don't know how the other ones sound, but let the voting finish, then we'l compare them to the XB500s.
