Hello All ~ I'm looking for a decent, full sized headphone amp to go with AKG K 702... but I am looking in South Korea. I am pretty much looking for resources on where I can go to begin looking for quality equipment. I know that Yong-san is the electronics place, but there is just so much there that I don't know where to start, (I also don't know where I should go to avoid getting ripped off, as it the norm in Yong-san). I know of a sweet little "diamond in the rough" kind of headphone store in Daehangno, Seoul and I am looking for a similar set up for other audio equipment.
A couple of things I would ask advice on: Do you know of a specific place that I should look for a decent headphone amp? Do you know of a place that carries reputable equipment from other countries? Do you recommend any Korean amps that could be found here, (either you have listened to or have reliable testimony about) and might go well with k702 (I listen mostly to jazz and instrumental, and I value clarity and detail slightly more than warmth)?
I know that it is sometimes possible to order and have it shipped internationally, but with that comes various hassles and lots of extra fees. Anyway, if anyone has some recommendations, I would appreciate hearing them! Thank you.
