BTW, ideally 1.5-2 Watts is recommended for the LCD-2/LCD-3s

 

But your LCD-3s should sound really good from the Burson.

Congrats, I've tried the 160D with the LCD-3s and the bass was phenomenal. However, I didn't really like the soundstage and mids so if you get a chance, try the LCD-3s with some tube/hybrid amps. I particularly like the Woo Wa5 and Littledot Mk6+. The littledot should fall into your budget leaving you about $500 to pick up a decent DAC.
