Proud new owner of the HE-500

So I just got the HE-500, and I'm really excited to listen to it (upgraded from Denon D2000s).

 

I'm just getting into audiophile stuff in general, so I have probably the dumbest question ever... it comes with a silver cable, with two ends. One has a red spot on it the other has a blue spot on it. Which one is left and which one is right?

 

haha hope someone laughs at this because I'm sure its a really dumb question.

 

 

 

EDIT: got it, red is right blue is left. Thanks!~

 

 

 

These headphones are kickass! Def a big upgrade from the Denon. Also, I'm surprised at how comfy it is. I thought that since its heavier it wouldn't be as comfortable and it worried me, but I just set them on and after a few adjustments its easier on my head than the Denon's.

The Denon's have a stronger bass for sure, but I'm betting after burn in it will be pretty close. The Denon's don't have anywhere near the same space or texturing though, holy F***

Blue is usually left and red is usually right. Or you can plug it in and play test songs or test tones to know left and right.

My cable has a "R" and "L" on the ends of the cable terminations. I take it you have a non-stock cable?

yes, these are the HE-6 cables I think.
