Next headphones after audio technica m50s?

Hi. I received my first pair of headphones, the m50s, last year as a christmas present. I've loved them but I think it's time to invest in something a bit higher quality. I've been looking all over and am having a really hard time deciding what I should buy next. So I'm asking you guys what you think I should get. I don't want to buy an amp, and I want them to be closed phones. I listen to all kinds of music.

I was looking at the Sennheiser hd380 pros and everything looks nice and the reviews I read were good, but I noticed the impedance was around 50 or 60 ohms, is that too much for an ipod?

And please if you have any recommendations post them.

I wouldn't expect the 380 Pros to be much of a step up, if they even are a step up. What is your most-played genres of music?

Electronic, rock, and then hiphop

From what I've read, Denon AH-D2000's don't necessarily need much of an amp (low impedance) and they're often recommended for those genres. They're also closed although I think they do let noise through.

I got M50's at the moment myself as well, ordered Matrix M-Stage (amp) a while ago and will order D5000's when I find a good enough deal. I listen to similar kind of music as you do, with the addition of different kinds of metal.

Yes, it says on their website that the impedance is 25 ohms. They aren't listed as noise-cancelling so you're probably right about that.

Those actually look really good. I'm gonna do some more research but I think I might go with those, thanks.
