Can't Decide...I'm A Bass Hound

I can tell you now, even on max, the IE80 gets nowhere near the level of even the 1V's bass quantity. Thus, I can't even begin to imagine the 1XB, nor do I wish to, since the IE80 is ample enough for me, even at the lowest setting.

The IE80's highs are what impressed me most, as they aren't the least bit subdued, not even next to my PFE232's (though the latter is clearly in another league).

The IE80s has certainly too much bass for me, but I can see people that can actually enjoy them. The highs are certainly good, not quite as good as the TF10pro but still very good :)

Oh!
I'm very interested in your views of the PFE232's - may you forward me to the right place, or have you not posted impressions of them yet :)?

Not yet, unfortunately. I haven't had the time to sit down and properly form a write-up. On the other hand, I may not need to in the first place, considering dfkt's in-depth review (see this thread) should be up any day now.

In the realm of universals, I think it's safe to assume you won't find anything better suited than the TFTA for your liking, plain and simple. I'm curious to know, however, as content as you are with the TFTA's, are you still in the market for a universal? With as many mid & top tiers as I've owned, I can say with full confidence that the TFTA is simply second to none in terms of strictly bass quantity. In fact, the TFTA is at the very extreme end of the scale, and you won't find an equivalent, unless you're willing to invest in a Zo, and pair it with an already bass heavy in-ear, such as the FX700, MG7, or DDM2 (among others).

Nop i'm no longer looking for earphones to buy - I buy "cheap" earphones that said - or earphones I say to myself: that's a good price to just "let it go"
For example, bought myself the sennheiser IE7's for under £40 - didn't like them, now selling them on (Awaiting payment) - bought some monster turbines at the same price, but i realised I have too many earphones...so decided to ask mum (in us atm) to return them to monster US

Then I got some (won a competition) Audeo's PFE 122's sent to me, but the mic had other ideas with my android, couldn't listen to music properly - contacted them about it, and now they are sending me the 112's and i'll probably end up sending them back the 122's - if i get to keep them however, that would be legendarly useless :p

Looking into some headphones atm.
Was considering the denon d2000's although can't justify buying £230 cans.
Saw that monster cable outlet is offering the beats pros for £115 - so I'm jumping on that deal - seems like a good price for a product that is "top of the range" - yes might not be as good as the denon's, and might be a little bit of a fashion icon, but I'm getting them so much cheaper that even if I don't like them i can sell them on.

so ie80 sounds promising...

Anybody know where I can get good price or just fast shipping with a no frills return policy in case the size isn't right for me? I tend to stick to Amazon because of my prime membership shipping perks and the 30 day return policy

Just got my Radius DDM from musicacoustics. Loving it. These really give new life to my hip hop tracks. Suffice to say they were definitely what the doctor ordered, for amazing bass impact.

Amazon is fine. Especially when you're used to it.

+1 amazon is brilliant for that.

If you want "extra safety" you could contact them, and if they make a fuss about your return, you prove to them the emails you got sent regarding it
I haven't ever had a problem with amazon, then again i only returned 2 things in god knows how many years that i've been using it.
Both things i returned were:
-IE8's (ironically enough LOL)
-MTPG's

PS. I really think you should look into the TFTA's if you don't like the ie80's that is...
