sennheiser hd 800 vs hd 598

Not just a lot, but a huge difference. But they are 1200.00 more expensive. They are both sennheisers, but  it's like comparing .19ct diamond to a 10 karat diamond. They are both diamonds, but....you get the picture. But along with the hd800, comes the critical need for amp and source paring. If you don't have those two things in check then you really won't hear what the hd800 can do. Out of all high end cans, the hd800 is my least favorite. But it's still a high end can and trounces anything that's not.
