Alright well I know nothing about headphones except that my brother had a pair of Solo HDs and they were bad ass. Im looking for a pair of headphones that has a ton of bass but can still be somewhat clear when I listen to softer music. I usually listen to dubstep, rap and soft rock (like coldplay). I was looking at the ATH-M50s and they look nice but I was wondering what other headphones there was for around the same price that would be good to. Also is it worth the money to buy Fii0 E6 or another amplifier for around the same price and what will it do?

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

Bought these on whim, for your basic train ride to work I don't mind. But its far from being the best I have own.

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

You might want to try the Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80 ohm. It's got a reputation for bass, but I find my set to still be clean and clear enough to enjoy a variety of music with them.
Check out guitar center if you have one nearby. Most of them will let you audition a few pair and they should have both the M50's and the 770's to listen to side by side.
One note, I got the 770's because they are closed back and provide decent isolation (which was important for this set) you might want to state if that is important to you or not.
Edit: Updated to reflect Gwarmi's correction

You mean the DT770 as the DT880 is semi open?

You're going to have to choose there unfortunately ~ soft, delicate, airy and big, brawny and bassy in the one
headphone is a tough if not impossible ask at any price.
Which one matters most?
I care about bass more
DT770 PRO 80ohm on your portable amp.
It will have great bass, great comfort, sweet sparkly treble and a nice sound stage. Great for soft stuff, great for slam your head bass stuff.
Very best,
You're totally right, thanks for the correction! Once I was thinking of 80 ohm I started to use 8 everywhere.

How will the bass be compared to Beats Solo HD
Haven't heard them. I think they have those at Guitar Center as well, so you might be able to listen to them all side by side.
Someone else may chime in who has heard both.
