Keep coming back to these despite having better gear, but there is something about the sound that reminds me of the O2 Mk1's I auditioned while ago - a love relationship simply put...

 

PHP programming > netbook > SRM-001 => SR-002's > Marc A Pullen / Odious album - remastered.

I've always been fascinated with the SR-002; I've been in the market for niche just-to-say-I-have-them IEMs or similar of late (been looking at Yuin, etc.) and may have to get myself these.

 

Any full-size cans these sound similar to that you can think of off the top of your head?

Yes they sound similar to my Lambda Pro's just a bit warmer and less clarity. They also remind me of the SR-007 Omega MK1's I heard a long while ago, both have roughly the same signature bit warm but very deep sounding, of course the MK1's sounding a lot more refined, detail retrieval etc...for something 1/5th of the size of a full sized can, I love these.

 

They sound even better if you swap out the detachable cable on the 003's and plug it into any full-sized Stax amp/energizer.
