Custom cable for my Shure SE535 (which to get?) - Page 2

Reviving this thread...

Has anyone tried these?

EFFECT AUDIO CRYSTAL

They are fairly cheap, but there are no reviews present.  I'm only buying a replacement cable because the stock cable's plug that came with my SE425 does not fit my mobile phone's case.  Shure's mobile phone plug (CBL-M-K) fits my case, but the weirdly angled plug meant that the plug eventually sheared off the rubber/plastic molding.  The mic and button also broke in less than 6 months of use so I'm a bit hesitant to buy the same cable.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hey all.

I just bought the 535ltd's yesterday and whilst looking surfing head-fi, realised that custom cables can offer better sq. I'm a little confused as to which cable is the best for ~$100. I'm mainly concerned in looking for better bass response. Any recommendations?

actually to be honest i have the ltd's and also the baldur MKII , and i kinda think the stock light grey cable is better sonically then the baldur.

i feel  like there is a bit more separation with the baldur. but it doesnt really reach those highs as the stock one do.

to put in layman's term , the stock is more accurate and analitical while the baldur is more "fun" sounding.

i actually switch between the two every other day..driving myself crazy :D
