Sennheiser hs 598 vs beats pro

Hello there, I've been looking for the ideal headphone that is about 200$ and i've come up with the sennheiser hd 598. Im looking for a headphone that will provide a substantial upgrade in sound (like a headphone that has a much larger soundstage, much better detail pickup, and much more clear/natural), and I'm just wondering if the hd 598's would provide an obvious difference in sound quality, as I have realized that beats by dres are just total ripoffs.

 

btw i have no headphone amp, I just plug the headphones into my imac that has a small 20 watt amplifier.

I've at least sampled the Solos, and the 598s absolutely murder them. Full stop. The bass impact isn't as high, but everything is clearer.
