I really don't wanna overspend, since if I end up happy with the DT990 Pros off my E9, I wanna replace the E9 (mine has developed a rarely occuring,subtle and sporadic very low distortion on the right channel with the 1/4" input. I don't like the 3.5mm input). I could just buy a new one, but I'd like to see what else could be good for it that isn't overly expensive. I owned the Lyr, and would go back to it if I was gonna spend that much, which I'm not planning on. I have a feeling I'll probably just get another E9, but thought I'd ask anyway.
BTW, I did own a DT990/600 before, and loved it. Bought the Pros because I prefer the comfort and clamp over the Premiums (owned a DT770 Pro before).
