Do you enjoy the Detox series?

If so, who cares what anyone else thinks happy_face1.gif

'Better' by the way does not mean much, you have to drill down a bit more with a detailed question.

More bass quantity? more refined bass? more balanced sound not just 'doof doof' like some cans etc

That's where the detail comes in ~ if you listen to rap, hip hop, a bit of electronic, pop then you might be better

off with the Detox, if though let's say you like a little rock, classical, jazz, vocal solo's - then yes, there are many

cans that are far better for that sort of music for the same if not less money.

If "overall" being in technical superiority and having total disregard for one's personal preferences, and going by the notion that you bought the Detox at full price ($400 I think), yeah there are definitely better choices.

In terms of musicality and sub-bass, the Denon D2000.

In terms of detail retrieval and clarity, either the Beyerdynamic DT880 or the Shure SRH940.

In terms of speed and response, I would go for the HD25.

But as Gwarmi stated, the Pro does pretty well for mainstream music.

**EDIT: Just realised the general MSRP of the Detox is $600. Woah.
