Need help picking headphones, I'll let you know application and budget :)

So i've had the following

Beyerdynamic DT 770's

Monster Beat Pro's

Monster beat's studio's

Diddy Beats

Monster Tubine Copper Edition

Dr Dre Tour (real Model not fake)

Bose Quiet Comfort 15

So i've used those, owned most, and sold most.

So, I go on a plane each 2 weeks.  I could use something that can block some sound.  Hopefully.  If not no problem.

I'm looking to buy maybe Sennheizer or grado??  This is what I like..

I like good strong bass.  Heavy bass though IF needed.  Like if I put on a rap song it can really boom and not fart or unable to produce the notes.

I listen to Dance mainly,  Rap, Techno,  some orchestra type of music like say FInal Fantasy soundtrack style of music.

I would like to have a pair of cans that really make great bass reproduction.  Of course with everything else included, mids, highs etc.

My budget is up to 1200 area.  I can go more but would prefer to find something really good for that range.

Could you help me pick out some ideas?

I'm going in a few days to fillion electronic and take a look at some nice headphones.

I wanted to try out the Sennheizer HD 800's but those are top of the line sennheizer's i think.

Also I could use a pair that needs a portable amp, but i hope the store has a amp lol that I am going to.

I live in Laval just outside of Montreal and of course bestbuy and futureshop dont go too high on the headphone scale, their highest pair is Monster Detox's.

I do like to sit in the rom with them also,  eyes closed just listening and ejoyin the sound.

Also what makes such a huge price difference for drivers?  Like... from 40mm drivers made of plastic i know, to a driver in a headphone that costs 1500,  is there that much difference between them that it makes u want to spend that much more?  Just checking on your knowledge as i dont have any.

I was looking at the Telsa T1's what you think about those?
